Thank you for putting up the video from Whidbey Island (F18’s). I flew EA-6B’s there in the early ’90’s. Good times. Damn good times.

Oh really? My dad was an NFO and plank owner for VAQ-137 back in the 70’s. That’s actually where my parents met when he was stationed there while enlisted.

Deception Pass holds a special place in our hearts because of my dad. My parents first date he flew a plane under the bridge. The first camping trip I went on with my dad that I can remember was to Deception Pass.

I was with VAQ-135. I wasn’t flying privately when there, so the bridge didn’t tempt me. The days of pulling those stunts (without excessive trouble) are mostly behind us. Good or bad thing? I tend to say bad. That said, flying under bridges is not a good idea (casual understatement). Do not take offense. I still have to remind my Dad of that… It’s a great place. I have visited a few times since being transferred elsewhere. Still a great place.
