Am I Crazy Now?

So I got to work this morning and saw this on Drudge Report:

The immediate image and thought that went through my head was exactly this:

36497314

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate law enforcement.  I don’t think there is any conspiracy regarding the ammo crisis either.  That said, LEOs should go ask DHS for ammo, they have a nice stockpile, put in an order for more, and are refusing to answer questions about it.

Personally I think the police should have to live under the same stress both economically and politically as the rest of us.  IE, if your state bans normal capacity magazines, that extends to law enforcement, that exemption for law-enforcement is merely hypocritical double speak.

Does this make me crazy?

I think that it also points out a few fallacies in the anti-rights cultists thinking.
A.) All law enforcement personnel are crack shots who practice constantly.
They suffer the same constraints on availability as we do– probably even more so. I would be a large percentage of LEOs never practice outside of qualifications.

B.) That in case of Civil Unrest the LEOs will have a huge supply train to draw from.
Really think that UpperElite Team 6 from DHS is going to share ammo with the Cops from SmallTown, Anystate?

The idea that cops are having to scrounge for ammunition will help me keep my temper when I’m standing in line scrounging for ammo

Of COURSE you are crazy. Anyone not recognizing that this is the best of all possible situations, in the best of all possible worlds, is, ipso facto, crazy. Surely you must see that? /pangloss

Went to Wal-Mart today. Walked over to the sporting goods area.

All the ammo they had was 410 slugs and 20 gauge slugs. It was weird. They weren’t even organized or anything. Just a pile of boxes of slugs. All the other shelves were full in the entire store. But the ammo shelves it was like a typhoon wiped out everything and left the stuff no one wants in a little pile.

I 100% agree — if I can’t have it, neither should the cops. I don’t hate cops, for a while I was one. What I hate is the us vs them mentality that has sprung up among the LEOs.
