The Truth about the Female “Headache”
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/31/2011 - 19:01So I was listening to Vicious Circle today at work and evidently there was some research done that I entirely missed.
So on the way home from work today the wife an I start talking and evidently she was aware of this research. Not only was she aware of it one of her instructors had known about the research and had extra information regarding the parts of the brain that shut down. To just prove I’m not lying, here it is from a third party.
They found that 30 different parts of the brain light up with pleasure so strong that the nervous system begins to shut down—making it more difficult for a woman to feel pain, the Sun reports.
So while in the car the wife goes on to say:

Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/31/2011 - 17:35While he wasn’t on duty, he did commit this act with his service weapon. Tell me, do they allow concealed carry or open carry within the capital for civilians? Given the answer to that question I find this issue state sponsored. Doubly so considering the egregiousness, bigotry, and down right viciousness of the incident. The icing that sealed my decision on counting it even though he was off duty is that his punishment is only paid leave.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 51

Quote of the Day-Tam(08/31/2011)
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/31/2011 - 06:27Ten years after Pearl Harbor, we had reduced Japan to a glowing pile of radioactive cinders and then rebuilt it and were buying cheap Japanese consumer goods by the shipload. Ten years after New York City was attacked by foreign enemies, all I see as evidence around Indy are a maudlin memorial being erected downtown, TSA probulators and porn-O-scans at the airport, and the occasional young man with an empty sleeve or trouser leg.
Dude, where's my country?
[I really wish I could still see a glimmer of the country I grew up in. That day did change everything, because believe it or not, despite the fact we got Osama, the terrorists won.
A great majority of the country felt that September 11th was the perfect excuse to sell their freedom, and the freedoms of their countrymen down the river. Only problem is that truthfully those freedoms aren't negotiable or theirs to control. The correct response would have been to turn the middle east to a bed of glass while continuing on here at home like business as usual. Panicking the way our government and public did only served to make us slaves.
If you find Galt's Gulch or a nugget of the country that was America, please let me know. -B]

SSCC Honorable Mention–New Mexico State Patrol
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/30/2011 - 18:10He was on duty at the time of the incident. He was in uniform. The only thing is he didn’t really break any laws other than maybe some decency laws. It’s grey, it’s not clear cut, but certainly since tax payers were paying him to do his job, it’s a problem.
Dr. Joe’s cure all is quite an effective remedy, however there is a time and place for it. I must say though I started laughing when I saw it was the New Mexico State Patrol.
My dad hated the New Mexico State Patrol with a passion. After getting out after his first tour he was driving to California and had everything he owned in his car. He pulled over into a rest stop in New Mexico to get some sleep. A police officer woke him up asking him what he was doing. Asked for ID and then ran my dad. Please note, my dad was in the Navy, and had a clearance due to his job. When they ran him there was a hold, with no indication as to why. The promptly arrest my dad, tow his car and throw him in a cell. Back at the station they tear his car apart. Seats, interior and all. About two hours later they get a call from NCIS asking about my dad. The conversation went like this evidently:
NCIS:“Is Mr. Barnett being held against his will?”
NMSP: “Yes, he’s currently been placed in a cell and is under arrest.”
NCIS: “Why?”
NMSP: “Because there was a hold and we assumed he was a criminal”
NCIS: “You will release him immediately, that hold was to guarantee that he was not being placed under duress or pressed for information.”
They then let my dad go, with his stuff scattered to hell and gone and his car still disassembled. From that day forward my dad would stop at the New Mexico border, piss on the state, and then drive non-stop to the other side.
Because ultimately the sole purpose of being in the state patrol is to fuck someone, either literally or figuratively.

SSCC #49–Lakewood Police
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/30/2011 - 17:52This woman had broken no laws. The weapons were legally owned. The police confiscated them without warrant. Then when she requested they be returned, they demanded there be a court order. May Mrs. Rice’s attorney send the city of Lakewood into receivership.
This isn’t the first time that police have gone shopping for new firearms using someone’s personal property as the store.

Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/30/2011 - 19:05I did not see a single reason in that video for the use of force. (Not to mention the videographer is a douchebag.) A Taser is not the correct level of force to get someone to comply with a verbal command. It is the sign of a lazy cop who believes that over escalation of force is the solution to his problem.
But that’s not all folks because the situation gets even better.
The reason for the arrest was the following:
Let me translate for those of you who do not understand the full meaning of those two quotes above. I have a nice video that will help explain it.

Thunder on the Snake-Day 1
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/30/2011 - 20:19We camped out at the Clearwater Casino to make our commute to Hell’s Gate marina that much easier since we needed to be there at 0700. We rolled in, got our boat assignments and set about trying to find our boats. I got pictures when I could, but sadly I usually ended up busy during the most exciting parts so there weren’t any pictures done.
This was a failure on many levels. Some of the boats didn’t have their numbers up and finally in the end it was hop on any boat you can to get where you needed to go. I never ended up on my originally assigned boat and in hindsight that was a good thing. The boat I was assigned to didn’t have any EMTs on board, the one I ended up on did. So in the event of an emergency the EMTs would have had a communications line they wouldn’t have had otherwise.
We rolled up the river and got on station on the high side of Wild Goose. At about that time the race was actually starting. I set up the antenna and radio and about that time a sheriffs boat came over. Here’s why HAM radio will never die, he needed me to relay out messages for him.

Because You Can…
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/29/2011 - 19:21Many might ask the following question. Why would you ever strap a turbine jet engine to a boat to drive a jet pump? The answer is the most simple of all answers, because you can. There is a second part of this answer though. Because it’s awesome!
The wife and I volunteered to help the local ARES group do the communications for “Thunder on the Snake”. What the hell is that you ask? It is a 30 mile (one way) white water jet boat race. Until I got the email asking for help, I didn’t even know about the sport. Now I firmly believe NASCAR is for pussies. I apologize for some of the pictures not being the sharpest. My safety boat got on station as the race started. I had to spend time getting the radios operational and didn’t have a chance to even look at my camera before the first boat showed up. Didn’t have the lens I would have use and didn’t even have chance to glance at the camera settings before he was on top of us. Here’s the first boat, on the first leg, of the first day.

Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/29/2011 - 18:02Honestly I would have probably done the same thing. Seriously how often do you get to go down the main street of any town in a raft!? Lacks common sense, unless the current was unbelievably swift, what’s the problem. Yeah there are snags and what have you, but as long as they stay in the raft they should be relatively fine.
These cops are puritans and nothing more. They think their badge allows them to regulate the activities of others. Evidence is provided in the reason they were being arrested. I hope that some lawyer goes after those officers for that.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 48
Because it’s the job of the nanny state to arrest anyone doing something they think is outside the realm of common sense.

Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sun, 08/28/2011 - 05:00Interesting, if you read the article it ends up they attacked an individual who was sleeping on the couch. The officers were responding to a “domestic” and this was their response. Seems like this is an odd response and quick judgment for a call about a possible domestic disturbance. I wonder if there might be something more to it?
Oh yup, there we go. The officers were bored and looking to go around beating people up. I mean what else do you do when you’re bored and have a badge and a gun? If you can put people in the ICU and it provides entertainment and your department is perfectly fine with your actions, why not?
How do we know the men actually did nothing wrong? Charges have been filed against neither of them and the cops are still on duty.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 46
Because cops can walk into your house and beat the crap out of you for sleeping on your couch since your neighbor called them.

Wielsch, aided and abetted by Butler, stole from county evidence facilities methamphetamine and marijuana that had been seized in CNET operations. Wielsch and Butler sold some of the stolen narcotics and intended to sell the remainder.
…
Wielsch and Butler participated together in a phony "sting" operation in which they falsely detained a person under the guise of a legitimate law enforcement operation, conducted warrantless searches, and kept narcotics that were taken from the person during the "sting."
Drugs, money, and sex. The trifecta for a triple word score. Nothing quite like using a badge and a gun to make sure that you’re the only game in town. It explains why the drug cartels are dealing with the DEA for protection.
What better way to make money than deal drugs and rough up prostitutes. Best part is the drugs were from other drug dealers.

As I have said previously, if you have a problem with the public video taping you while on duty, maybe you should reevaluate your behavior. You know video’s of cops when they do something bad take off like wildfire. Just the same they take off when they do something good as well.*
Because cops are exempt from having their behavior being documented in public. How else would the public know about their abuses and misdeeds?
*I do need to send an email to the Oceanside Police department praising them for the actions of that officer. It does provide me with a glimmer of hope seeing other officers who behave like that. I just wish the good ones would help reign in the bad ones.

The Most Demeaning Interview Ever!
Submitted by Janelle Barnett on Wed, 08/24/2011 - 21:40Today I had two scheduled job interviews and one impromptu interview. The scheduled interviews went well. The other one on the other hand ranks right up there with being fired for having a disability.
I found a few job listings for a Palouse Pets in Moscow, ID and decided to drop my resume off. The jobs included a dog bather and a kennel technician. So, considering my background in animal science and having 3 years of experience as, essentially, a kennel tech at the university I thought it would be a fairly easy job to land.
Well, that wasn’t so. During the interview we discussed my qualifications and abilities, but soon the conversation started to focus on the fact that I have a disability. Now, I have had this disability for over six and a half years and nothing short of extensive surgery can be done about it*. I have no restrictions other than what I feel is needed. The bitch conducting the interview had a real issue with my disability as it reduces usability in one hand, but does not limit functionality as a whole. The disability is something that hasn’t stopped me from working with animals in the past, including horses. This woman felt that I could not function well enough to handle a bunch of dogs and wants me to get permission from my doctor, whom I haven’t seen in over three years, so as to verify that I can indeed fully use my arm. She felt I would be a liability if I were to be injured. The disability in my right arm makes me no more likely to be injured than anyone else. No other past jobs felt that I was a liability to the company.

In America Self-Defense can be a Crime
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/24/2011 - 18:13Around these parts we have a saying, follow the three ‘S’s and you can’t go wrong. For those that don’t know the three S’s are Shoot, Shovel, and Shut-up. This was coined most predominantly in dealing with the wolf problems in the area. Well it has now expanded to cover any defense shooting involving an animal.
Why was the Grizzly bear shot I hear you ask. It was the standard reason for any defensive gun use.
…
The bears had gone after some pigs in a pen that the kids had been raising, Mike Hill said.
Heaven forbid you use deadly force against an animal that can kill a full grown man without thinking twice. The debate about the wolf has been the biggest pile of crap I’ve ever seen. Why? Because every last complaint against hunting is filed by people who live out of state and are unfamiliar with the actual situation on the ground.
I can guarantee you that the next time someone has to shoot a grizzly in self-defense, it’s NOT going to be reported. There is no such thing as winning a law suit, all you can do is scrape by. Any and every law suit is best avoided.

The case document doesn’t provide evidence, however I suppose when he pooped out a pile of white cream it would tie the officer to the crime. Not to mention the injuries sustained in the event.
Seriously read the sequence of events in the charging documents, it’s quite disturbing since that could easily have been anyone.

It Can’t Happen Here–St. Tammany Parish
Submitted by Janelle Barnett on Wed, 08/24/2011 - 08:56In light of Columbine, people are more aware and pay more attention to the rumors and threats that float around about possible school shootings, especially among high school aged students. In St. Tammany, a potential Columbine redux was stopped before it could be executed, thanks to aware citizens who took the threats seriously. The threats were credible to start with, not just rumors, as going off half-cocked could cause the harassment of the innocent or catching the guilty too early could make them look innocent.
Last week, deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested three 15-year-old Lakeshore High School students, each accused of plotting a shooting rampage on the first day of school, scheduled for tomorrow. The teens, two from Lacombe and one from Mandeville, allegedly were part of a group called “Day Zero” that both targeted specific students on the LHS campus and talked of random shooting.
We are very fortunate this group’s threats were taken seriously. Had they not been, the 2011-12 school year could have begun with a tragedy at the parish’s newest high school.
Remember, criminals are nondiscriminatory. There is no area that is exempt and no magical zone is safe, it’s just like Pacific Playland.
Please note, both incidents occurred in a “gun free zone”.

It Can’t Happen Here
Submitted by Janelle Barnett on Tue, 08/23/2011 - 14:27The Husband recently started the State Sponsored Criminal Count, now I’m creating the ”It Can’t Happen Here” series.
“It can’t happen here” is a mantra everywhere. Well, it can happen here and it does. This series is about shootings and other criminal activities that people think, feel, or say “can’t happen here”.
The rules are short and sweet:
- It needs to have someone stating, “I could never see that happening here” or something along those lines OR
- Within a location such as a gun free zone i.e. a college campus.
- Info needs to come from the news, be it internet, radio, TV or newspapers.
A form will be available to submit any incidences. The submission form is available here. Feel free to recommend additions or changes, I will take them into consideration.
The first addition to this series happened in Moscow, ID yesterday, August 22. An ex-Professor at the University of Idaho shot and killed a U of I graduate student and then later shot himself.
I first heard about this via a friend on Facebook. She is one of the nicest people in the world and recently new to the area. I in no way use the following to demean her, but her post created the idea for the series.

SSCC Honorable–State of MA
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/23/2011 - 17:43It appears that the state of Massachusetts decided that instead of doing their job they preferred to let a criminal roam free.
That’s not surprising, but then look at his history.
They didn’t throw his ass out when the had the chance. The result sadly is not unsurprising.
The state has it’s hands in the blood of that motorcyclist. Their refusal to punish the individual responsible for his crimes and lack of respect for society contributed to the cold blooded murder. An active member of the state may not have committed the crime, but they aided and abided the man responsible.
Because it’s much easier to let the criminals roam free than do their job.

Every Sperm is Sacred
Submitted by Janelle Barnett on Tue, 08/23/2011 - 20:53
Every sperm is great. If a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate
People flipped their shit over tanks that fell from a Greyhound bus. Granted, gas was escaping the top of the canisters along with a foul odor. The on-ramp to I-65 South in Nashville, TN was closed and Hazmat brought in. The canisters contained liquid nitrogen and, you guessed it, semen.
Coming from an animal science background, the bull semen contained in the canisters is most likely useless now that the liquid nitrogen escaped and a foul odor was emanating from them. That is a lot of wasted money, not to mention a major set back to the breeding facility where they were headed. Choosing sperm for such facility is not a simple task. Each cow to be bred is matched with a specific bull for various traits to be passed on to offspring. The collection of said semen is also an arduous task and who knows if there is extra semen ready to go to cover such a loss.

Booger Hook Off the Bang Switch
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/24/2011 - 02:00There are 5 basic rules to gun safety, the 2 most principal rules were violated in this instance.
- Don’t muzzle anything you are not willing to destroy or part with.
- Keep your booger hook off the bang switch until you’re ready to fire.
I feel for this man for having lost his wife because it is such a heavy punishment for a mistake. That’s the thing with firearms though. They are unforgiving, harsh, and require strict attention. Often I see people get careless while handling a firearm using the excuse that it’s unloaded. The bottom line is even when you know it’s unloaded, unless doing something such as cleaning, you should always be following good muzzle control. It helps keep the habit solid and helps prevent allowing your brain to be careless.
If you’re handling a firearm and you’re not immediately disassembling it to clean it, treat it like it’s loaded even if its not. Train your brain to think about where the muzzle is at all times. Even when cleaning I avoid muzzling anything until disassembly has started. For example in an AR, upper and lower is separated, a 1911 or XD has the slide and barrel removed, in a revolver the cylinder is removed. As long as the hammer can find the firing pin, I treat the firearm as if it is “loaded”, since it has the potential energy in all the right places that if a round was in the chamber, it would go bang. Same thing goes for reassembly, once that condition becomes true again, muzzle control is strictly enforced.

SSCC #34, #35–Fullerton, California
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 23:53Two separate incidents in the same town. The first involved a man who suffered from schizophrenia.
The incident was caught on cellphone camera, along with other surveillance cameras. Currently the city refuses to disclose the names of the individuals involved in the incident. Interesting that, considering if someone is over the age of 18, they’ll throw that name out no matter how thin the evidence. As usual they are protecting their own from the black eye they face for their actions.
The second involves a wrongful arrest.
The officers continued to lie until they were presented with the evidence proving them false. At which point they claim it was a mistake and ask for a free pass. This is by no means the first time an officer in the SSCC has attempted to frame an individual and have their life destroyed by the legal system.
There is a common saying, ”Once is happenstance, Twice is coincidence, Three or more is Enemy action.” Well I don’t believe in coincidence, and there appears to be a definite pattern beginning to emerge, since you have other officers who assisted the primary officers in same crimes.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 35
Because the state has every right to beat someone to death for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or arrest and charge someone on a lie to make them look better.

Speaking of Bad Luck
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 23:37So Tam talked about her bad luck in having the date of her dentist appointment off in her head. She’s not alone in having bad luck currently. Our summer thus far hasn’t been too severe, been up in the 90’s yes, but no real long streaks. This past weekend that changed.
Saturday the wife and I got home from flea market I dug in and started working on some projects I had for the weekend. The wife while she was in her office noticed the A/C unit which is directly outside her window wasn’t sounding normal. She decided that this fact wasn’t worth bugging me about. At about 2000 hours Saturday night I heard the thermostat relay fire and the lights dimmed a bit more than normal. I said that was interesting until about a minute later I heard it open and said, well that’s odd. 5 minutes after that I hear it close again and the lights dim. At this point I ask what’s going on and she said the A/C unit was sounding funny.
When I went outside to look at the unit it was buzzing quite loudly. Immediately the unit was shut off and I decided since it was the evening I’d let it sit over night and look into it tomorrow. Sunday I did a cursory troubleshoot to no avail. It definitely wasn’t the thermostat but was the AC unit itself. I knew the most likely cause was the contactor or the start/run capacitor.

Some Changes Have Occurred
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sun, 08/21/2011 - 20:59I took this evening to switch the commenting system to Disqus. It appears that I got all the comments to export properly. If you have any problems please let me know. I made the change to help simplify the work that I was doing in maintenance. There were a bunch of modules that were linked together to take care of moderation, closing, notification, etc. Switching to Disqus provides a single point of maintenance which I like.
So play with it, tell me what you guys think. If you want me to roll back I can though it’s going to take some serious pushing to prove why the old method is better.
Update 08/22: So it appears I forgot to set the read permissions for the blocks used for Disqus. I corrected this issue mid afternoon. Thanks to those who notified me on twitter about the issue, as well as Linoge who mentioned it to the wife. She forwarded it to me as a text at work and I corrected the issue immediately. If you have any more issues, please let me know.

Isn’t that what the FBI is for?
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sun, 08/21/2011 - 17:27The article goes on to state that they were investigating stolen military equipment. If that in fact is the case, why didn’t the FBI conduct the raid based off the evidence provided by the Air Force. Air Force Special Investigations is not civilian law enforcement, and has no business conducting operations within the civilian populace.
Do they need to recover the military property? Yes! Does that give them the right to deploy military personal and have them lead a raid on a civilian establishment on civilian property? No!
This is just another example of the creep of big brother throughout society. It used to be doing something like that would land you into a world of hurt. Guess the military is now just another branch of the civilian harassment corps.
Civilian Harassment Corps: Any government agency whose role or purpose allows the harassment, intimidation, or destruction of private citizens or their property.
Examples members of the Corps include: DHS, TSA, ATF, and the FBI.

Lemonade Freedom Day 2011
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sun, 08/21/2011 - 13:31In the small little hick town I live in, we don’t have problems like they do in DC. The little town and a town wide flea-market and my buddy who lives down the street had his kids set up a lemonade stand in the front yard.
Earlier in the week I had informed him the timing was perfect since it coincided with Lemonade Freedom Day.
Here was the sign put down the street from the stand.
Then about 10 feet before the stand was another one advertising just the lemonade and cookies.
I was hoping the local cop would swing by and buy some but I didn’t see him all day which makes me think he was working dispatch since all the college students were coming back into Pullman this weekend. We did however have another sheriff and a convoy of oversized loads with a state patrol escort drive by. In every case the officers waved at the kids.

SSCC #30-#33–Washington DC
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sun, 08/21/2011 - 13:01This show of force by the DC Metro Capitol PD was nothing more than that. It was done in front of parents and children specifically to instill fear of what could happen to them should they disobey. Fear, they use fear to coerce people into behaving as they would like.
ter·ror·ism
noun /ˈterəˌrizəm/
The government is force and every law they pass is done with the threat of force. That force is now used to intimidate, harass, and stop children from partaking in free enterprise. Not only that but the female officer on more than one occasion attempted to stop the documentation of the behavior of the police. If you happen to find the names of the officers involved, please, post them in the comments.
It’s good to know that given the crime rate in DC the police have nothing better to do that to shut down someone selling lemonade. Especially on Lemonade Freedom Day.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: +4 = 33
Because there is no greater crime than children selling lemonade in the capital of the “most free” country on earth.

SSCC #29–Radcliff, KY PD
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sun, 08/21/2011 - 11:41The individual in question was charged as follows:
David Williams, 37, West Point, KY Lewd Exhibition and Solicitation
Initially I was figuring this to be an honorable mention since there is no direct evidence of him having committed the crime while on duty. That said, his position of authority and trust allowed him the opportunity to exploit it at his wish. It was mostly by luck that he was caught prior to him exploiting that power. See my original post and note the following from the rules:
The person committed the crime while on duty, or his job provided access to commit the crime under color of law (see the pedophile above).
This is a bit more difficult since the pedophile could use his job to touch children without legal recourse by the definition of his job as defined by the state. The officer however does have a position of trust and authority that he can use to manipulate children. While his department certainly wouldn’t protect his actions like the TSA would, we have seen elsewhere that departments will protect their officers until there is public backlash. So with that I’ll let it stand as a member of the count. It is borderline and if you feel differently, feel free to explain your reasoning in the comments.

The Answer is Simple: Don’t Be a Dick
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Thu, 08/18/2011 - 21:23It took a while for me to figure it out. I was the kid off by himself in school. Once people got to know me, they were like he's cool, it's that initial hump that's always been my problem.
I do find from time to time I still feel like the kid in the corner again. I wonder now if I'm just obnoxious and disliked, well if that’s the case I also remember Mr. Adams was and I have since learned to embrace it and work it to my advantage. Note you can be both of those without being a dick.
I don't blame anyone for a lack of traffic to my site, and evidently that makes me not normal. I have discovered, since I finally started writing up regularly, that if I write something the traffic will follow. Most of those complaining want instant gratification of getting hundreds of readers overnight. I know that's not going to happen.
Looking at my stats on site meter and Google analytics though for the month of July, traffic was up 544% in site views over last year. Yeah the site is 3 years old, yet I didn't really start posting regularly till the beginning of this year. At which point my traffic grew by 482% from the previous month. My monthly traffic has now finally doubled what Joe gets in just daily traffic, but it is growing. The more blogs I write, the more I have out there for people to find and explore. I have figured that out and my original goal this year was a post a day. I have since modified that to average a post a day. Some times I have nothing to write about, other times I have stuff to do, and I can't stop my life for my blog.

SSCC #27–Springfield MA
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/17/2011 - 20:17The amateur videographer with the colorful vocabulary who memorialized the alleged 2009 police beating of Melvin Jones III during a traffic stop may be charged with illegal wiretapping.
It appears that numerous departments and prosecutors are going after those who would document police abuse. Without documentation, these officers would be allowed to continue unchallenged in their crimes. Instead some individuals brave the harassment and intimidation brought by our government for documenting them.
Remember the government is force and any attempt to restrain a government official is an attack on their unbridled force.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 27
Because the DA’s job is not to punish the police officer who broke the law, but to intimidate the public into no longer providing due diligence. This wouldn’t have been a problem if she just hadn’t taken that video of the incident happening in public.

Quote of the Day–Oleg Volk (08/16/2011)
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/17/2011 - 02:00Until about 2001, I would invite friends from Russia and Europe to visit because I wanted to share my wonderful new homeland. Now I invite them with advance apologies for the indignities they are likely to endure en route from the US government agents. Hopefully, we will all be able to be proud of America again someday soon.
Sentimental Value of a Flag – Oleg Volk
[It makes me ashamed that this is the case. While I could easily shift blame one way or another I cannot. I hate and despise the TSA and feel them to be nothing more than Jack Booted Thugs preying upon the innocent and law abiding. I was still in high school when the patriot act and the fallout from September 11th destroyed what was left. However it has continued on my watch, and unlike our fearless leader I will accept responsibility instead of shift it. Even if the majority of these issues are directly out of my control.
The root cause of this issue goes further back than my generation, however a generation needs to step up and take responsibility. A generation needs to finally put it’s foot down and say enough is enough. I am looking to my generation as we are now creating the youth of tomorrow.
Sadly however, I’m afraid that most of my generation still hasn’t seen the light. So here and now, to my future children* I apologize as my father did to me.

Ignore the statement that he is a “former” officer because he resigned as opposed to actually being dismissed by the OSP as punishment. This is by no means the first issue with OSP either, not even the first of a sexual nature.
A cop having relations with a minor, at least in this case the OSP actually fired him. Not to mention he was also tagged with violating a protection order and embezzlement. The most famous incident of late though happens to be the following:

SSCC #23–Knox County Sheriff
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/15/2011 - 18:05The sheriff contends these weren’t buddies getting together but arranged games to turn a profit for the organizer. If that’s the case, why wasn’t the organizer arrested on the spot? Later in the article it becomes immediately clear what’s going on:
So what ever happened to due process? I guess the Knox County Sheriff threw it out with the garbage when they discovered the county debt is increasing without restraint. What better way to supplement it than through forfeitures that do not require a prosecution.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 23
Because what better way to whittle your deficit down than to steal money from friends gambling in their garage. It’s 100% taxation without due process or legal recourse for the tax payer, how can the state loose?

How to tell they’re not serious about the budget…
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sat, 08/13/2011 - 09:26They put Washington State Senator Patty Murray in charge of finding 1.5 trillion to cut from the deficit.
That socialist cow has never seen a taxpayer dollar she didn’t feel like spending. Not to mention how much she loves the TSA, Social Security, Obama Care, and ever other big government program under the sun*. I sent a letter to both Senators over Obama care, it was obvious she never read mine since she (more likely an aid) sent me a response thanking me for my support and then reiterating the lies of why it was so important to pass it.
You want to know why the S&P down graded the credit of the United States? This is why, the government isn’t serious about cutting back spending in any way, shape, or form. The proposed cut backs amount to pennies in comparison to the problem and even then they shove the spending cow from Washington to be in charge of it.
I can guarantee you ever last cut is going to be from programs that will cause maximum carnage and outrage so that all the Repulicrats and Democicans can drum up support amongst the dependent voters. The country is swirling the drain folks and I hope you’re ready cause it’s going to be one hell of a ride.
Seriously, that's like putting the fat kid at fat camp in charge of the diet.
*I’m sure that the fact that I am stating these opinions publically will have me placed on the list for reeducation when the time arrives. She seriously is nothing more than an elitist socialist cow.

The Problem with Stop and Identify - SSCC #21

Bunch of Hypocrites
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sat, 08/13/2011 - 19:21So, a couple months ago while the Egyptian riots were going down, our government berated the Egyptian government for cutting off internet access and limiting communications. Well local legislators have yet again embraced the “let no crisis go wasted” mantra and are now exploiting the London riots to be able to restrict communication abilities.
Considering this is the “Republik of California” how does one now notify the police when in an emergency situation? You have not only disabled the ability of the enemy for communication, but for the law abiding as well. But that’s the point isn’t it, put the public in the dark and make them dependent upon the state for assistance.
That said, I know that all they did is disable the towers within the tunnels, but it’s only a matter of time before they request the ability to do it elsewhere. The wife and I have backup long distance communications abilities and procedures, do you?

SSCC #22–Maricopa County
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sat, 08/13/2011 - 20:34More details on the incident can be read about here. Honestly I’m at a loss for words. That video makes me want to drive down to Maricopa county and put my boot up sheriff Joe's ass given the abuse exhibited by that department. This is by no means the first incident like this and it most definitely will not be the last either. Given their use of no-knock warrants and the belief that the cop has more of a right to his life than a law abiding citizen, there’s no doubt more people are going to be tortured to death at the hands of Joe Aripaio’s thugs.
Normally I would expand further, but that video is pretty much self explanatory.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 22
Because every corrections officer should be allowed to torture and kill an inmate who is no immediate threat without fear of punishment.

Sign of the Times
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Fri, 08/12/2011 - 20:49Seriously, what kind of low life scumbag does it take to say, hey lets steal this guys prosthetic limb? It’s not as if there is any scrap value to the items. The thief can’t exactly use them for their own missing limb as they’re custom fitted to the primary user. How fitted I hear you ask, my father in law gets a new leg about every 12-18 months. The norm is about 3-5 years, however weight changes, activity, and changes to muscling cause fit issues. Due to his job, as well as external activity level, those things fluctuate grossly.
I don’t normally do the wishing violence or harm to people, but there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for that theft. The only “benefit” is the thief can get his rocks off knowing he stole the tools someone uses to help them function in the world. So on that note I hope that the individual responsible ends up getting his nuts caught in a meat grinder. If you see someone with a bunch of prosthetics that obviously aren’t theirs, kick them in the nuts for Mr. McConnell.

SSCC #20–Orange County California
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Thu, 08/11/2011 - 20:28- 9 Times with the taser.
- The victim stated that they were killing him.
- They proceeded to beat him. Including hits to the head and neck. Which are ruled as lethal force.
- 54 contusions.
- No injuries to officers, not even a bruise or scratch.
- His only crime was having an open container in public.
- The state claimed he died from cardiac arrest cause by an “unrecognized” medical condition.
- Independent autopsy stated a broken neck.
It was the day he was going to be released. They claim he was violently resisting, yet all he was doing was passive, further proven by the fact that no injuries occurred to their officers. The county and independent autopsies were grossly different. Which makes sense considering all parties involved work for the same master.
My heart goes out to this man’s father.
State Sponsored Criminal Count #20
Because lethal force is always justified against an unarmed individual locked up in confinement; whose only crime was having an open container and a mental condition.

SSCC #19–Jefferson County Co. Sherriff
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Thu, 08/11/2011 - 19:49This incident has so many different abuses by the police that it is difficult to accurately list them all. Every last argument used against the owner of the property was full of ignorance. What shines a light on this whole scenario is the following statement:
The “salt in the wound” that the situation had become was the fact that the sheriff’s office officials were accompanied by volunteers from the local branch of the House Rabbit Society — a nationwide group comprised of people who, according to Bell, think rabbits need to be raised like small children.
…
Umm, the civilians had absolutely no authority to be on the property, and the property owner had every right to request their removal, warrant or not. Here’s a quick list of issues, most of which were created by the actions of law enforcement or law enforcement was ignorant of the actual law.

Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 10:28I've got a bunch more comments on the debt ceiling hike and the blame game that's currently going on, but there's a couple things that have to happen first.
The system is in very bad shape currently and it's going to take some serious work to fix it. Both parties created this mess and have absolutely no interest in fixing it. I don't care who you are, your politician is equally culpable.

On the England Riots
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 17:47The riots in England I find a wonderful example of what happens when you disable the law abiding from protecting themselves and their property. This ultimately results in people realizing that it is safer and more profitable to steal, rob, commit violence, and be generally disruptive to society than it is to be productive. Evidently I am by no means the only one with this idea and thankfully one of them is in England.
This is by no means new, the gun culture has been screaming that is one of the major problems with Britain for a long time. Just look at the problem with dealing with someone squatting on your property in Britain. What is most interesting though is some of the root cause analysis into the riots.

SSCC #18–Yonkers
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/09/2011 - 17:31It’s good to know that he’s spending a total of 16 days in jail for assaulting two people and then making a false arrest. It’s such a wonderful thing to see prosecutors, judges, and police officers working together.
In all seriousness this is extremely disturbing and disappointing. Given the maximum sentence of 7 years just for the assault charges, he basically got off. Especially when you also consider the fact he falsely arrested one of his victims. The issues though are much deeper in the department than just him.
Guess they ran it like a team. It took Ramirez a whole 6 months on the force to do something like this. On the upshot at least the prick is broke, jobless, and living with his parents. It is disconcerting that they justify the light sentence despite the fact he plead guilty to three felonies. None of them though pertain to his abuse of power as a police officer, just “falsifying business records”. The department may have fired him, but that’s mainly to save face.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 18
Because cops are allowed to vent and what better time than on duty and what better place than a bar when you can more easily frame the victim.

SSCC #17–DEA in Fast and Furious
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/08/2011 - 17:26The DEA admitted involvement with Operation Fast and Furious today.
We may never know how much involvement the DEA actually had. The DEA is claiming limited involvement, and that it was indirect investigative activity, and they had no decision making capacity whatsoever. My give a %!$^ meter is at –20. If anyone in your agency knew that arms were being supplied to known criminals, you share culpability. Given the DEA’s other recent activities, it is obvious their actual stance on the law. They are exempt from the law.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 17
Because nothing goes together better than drugs, money, and guns. It’s the job of the DEA and ATF to make sure that happens despite the laws to the contrary.

Concealed Carrier for the Win
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sat, 08/06/2011 - 22:20Shooting went down in Skyway Washington tonight. A passing concealed carrier detained the individual and ceased the hostile activities while waiting for police. The whole incident was over before the police were even aware it was going down.
The “victim” in the shooting will probably survive, most definitely thanks to the actions of this individual. Current suspicion is this was a dispute over drugs, so it was goblin versus goblin violence that was stopped by a law abiding citizen.
While the Criminal Occupational Hazard Reduction movement would prefer that citizen be disarmed, to be at the mercy of the criminal, as well as to leave the victim to die. Which makes sense because he wronged another criminal right? Obviously they have to side with one of them, in this case they wanted to make sure the victim criminal was killed.
Carry your guns, you never know when something might go down.

SSCC #16–DEA clears drugs
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Sat, 08/06/2011 - 15:43So the government supplied protection to ensure that particular drug shipments were successful. What good is this war on nouns if they selectively enforce it? Like every other form of prohibition it has failed. It has failed so badly that cartels are figuring out how to use the war to their benefit.
The government ran guns into Mexico arming cartels, and now we discovered that we also provided them safe passage for their product back into the states. Sounds to me like some of the cartels are becoming government endorsed.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 16
Because everyone knows you use the government to shut down your competition, and they are more than happy to oblige, securing you from punishment from your illegal crimes.

SSCC #15–Renton, WA Police
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 17:33So back over near my old stomping ground the Renton police have as always continue their tradition of being up to no good. It seems that some cartoonist decided to make fun of the situation, except the department didn’t find it too funny.
Here’s the cartoon’s in question, all nine actually that are being used as evidence in the “cyber stalking” case against the creator.
So for grins I went and looked up RCW (9.61.260) which states:

SSCC #14–Elk Grove Police
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Tue, 08/02/2011 - 18:24Because nothing screams lawful use of deadly force like shooting someone with rifle while handcuffed in the back of a police car. Later in the article we see the real reason this individual was absolved from criminal liability as a member of the state, the section of the DA’s office responsible for investigating criminal liability of government employee’s was disbanded. It’s much easier to just clear him of liability than actually investigate and prosecute. It’s also much easier to cover up a ND as a justified shoot. Cause if it’s an ND, then the department can be held liable. It’s a win win for the state.
Also why grab your rifle if he’s handcuffed in your squad car and you suddenly feel threatened? Seems like a prime example of a moment for a TASER.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 14
Because the police have every right to shoot you while you’re handcuffed in the back of a police car.

SSCC #13–TSA Takes Teens $100 Gift
Submitted by Barron Barnett on Mon, 08/01/2011 - 18:18Now it seems that TSA agents have found a more subtle score: stealing $100 that was a gift to a 16-year-old honor student from his grandmother. The boy's mother tells the Post that the theft was "disgusting and a violation of my son's trust."
The TSA has not terminated this individual involved as it is still under investigation. Despite the claims of zero tolerance, I doubt anything is going to come from this as how can they prove he swiped 100 bucks. It’s not as if he swiped 20 grand worth of jewelry and pawned it.
A Security Theater has proven worthless and nothing more than a den for thieves and perverts.
State Sponsored Criminal Count: 13
Because nothing says free like representatives of the state stealing a kids lunch money gift from his grandmother. I mean where else have we ever seen this kind bullying before?
