Vicious Circle 110

Tonight at 1800 PDT, 2000 CDT I will be on Vicious Circle.  This weeks topic is Men in kilts: The advantages and hazards of the pants free lifestyle.

So if your around feel free to listen as Breda, Alan, Weer'd, Jay, The Nerds, and myself discuss that and many other topics.

*For those who've been keeping track, I was also on a couple weeks ago as well.

**A side note, VC is very not safe for work.  More specifically you don't probably want to be blaring it out of your speakers.  Headphones though you should probably be fine.  It's just audio, no video, the day this becomes a video podcast is probably the day viewership moves to 0.

WSU Student Rights and Little London

So the level of brainwashing that has been inflicted upon our youth has been quite apparent over the past few weeks of reading the Washington State University news paper.  The first article is an effort to bring a little bit of Brittan right here to the heartland of America.

The Pullman Police Department will install security cameras in high crime public areas in College Hill as a part of a two-year grant the police department received from the United States Department of Justice.

The royal kicker though is what the editorial board admits in a following opinion piece.

The Daily Evergreen Editorial Board would like to urge students to accept and support the installation of security cameras in Adam’s Mall. The cameras will probably do little to deter crime as drunken brawlers are unlikely to consider the fact that a camera is watching them.

(Emphasis mine.) They readily admit that the cameras will not deter crime.  The school continues to prohibit the ability for students to lawfully carry on campus and the paper is more than supportive against allowing lawful carry.  Yet they are more than willing to argue that students throw away their privacy for semblance of security.  It is a public place after all so really how much privacy should you have.  Well the editorial board obviously doesn't care considering the following piece I saw in yesterdays paper.

Barring campus police from patrolling the most densely populated living areas on campus is a huge mistake.

Speaking of Over Criminalization

It's becoming increasingly difficult for the law abiding to seek simple over the counter treatment for the common cold.

The state will soon keep tabs on everyone who buys over-the-counter cold medicine.

Consumers' personal information will be stored in an electronic database that will also send real-time alerts to police.

Without question this violates the Jews in the Attic test and it does absolutely nothing to catch those cooking meth.

Cooking meth has been a crime.  In an effort to stop the crime they created a new crime, purchasing too much, or having too much in your household.  The intent of the purchase though no longer matters.  Have a house full of sick kids, too bad you're going to jail after your door is kicked in by the SWAT team.  The worst part is, if your jury has no clue about Jury Nullification your ass is going to prison.  Obviously you broke the law as written because you bought or had too much in your household.  Without nullification they would disregard for the fact though that you were using it lawfully and for it's intended purpose.  If you think that type of charge is impossible, think again.

The icing on the cake though was at the end of the article:

The American Civil Liberties Union said it does not plan to challenge the move based on privacy concerns.

As usual, the ACLU ignores any attack on civil liberties that doesn't fit their political agenda.  Anyone who puts Union in their name couldn't possibly understand the idea of personal liberty.  Sometimes law enforcement shouldn't be made easier, especially when law abiding citizens get caught in the crossfire.  When that happens, it should become so damn difficult the cops want to do something else instead.

TSA Agent Provides Phony Marriage

This one is another giant bag of unpossible given the high caliber screening processes in place for the hiring process of their employees.  Well here in the real world we know better than to trust statements like that.

A Transportation Security Administration agent was arrested this week on federal charges for her role in an alleged phony marriage scheme that sought to secure U.S. citizenship for her purported spouse, a Lebanon native.

...

The federal criminal complaint does not detail Taha’s alleged motive for taking part in the sham February 2002 marriage (or whether she was paid in return for the marriage vows). Taha, charged with conspiracy and making false statements, has worked as a TSA agent at the Detroit airport since late-2002.

So in other words she was helping bring people into the country by marrying them.  She dated other agents while supposedly being married, and even fathered a child with said TSA agents.

This is completely unsurprising, but never the less how did it escape their crack team of investigators?

Because your job as a federal agent is to break the law, just ask the ATF or DEA.

Quote of the Day - SayUncle (09/28/2011)

Ok, Sparky, look here. I’ll ignore the whole subverting the nature of the republic aspect of your stupid statement and address the reality: Congress is pretty much why the country is in the economic shitter. Letting them run loose and even more unaccountable is like trusting the pyromaniac 8 year-old up the street to watch your collection of gas cans and fireworks.

But it was progressives... - SayUncle

[Unc nailed this issue right on the head with that analogy.  My instincts yesterday did one that was similar.  Because why would you want to leave a cocaine addicted hooker watching your stash of Bolivian Marching Powder while you went out of a smoke?

The progressives are claiming that this was a joke, I find it anything but.  Why else would you make a statement like that, that logically makes absolutely no sense?  The kids are currently throwing a tantrum in a candy store trying to break open and steal more candy.  Who in their right mind thinks that is a good time to hand them a bat and then walk away leaving them unsupervised and without recourse for discipline?

I seriously hope the people of North Carolina throw that want to be dictator to the freaking curb.  We live in a Republic, not a democracy, not a dictatorship.  We elect people to represent us, if you can't understand that, you shouldn't be a representative. Then again most representatives currently only represent the people who voted for them ignoring the rights of the smallest minority, the individual.  -B]

SSCC #103/104 - Miami-Dade Police

This young man had done nothing wrong.  These officer were out looking for a good time, nothing more.  Not to mention the fact that he quite obviously through his appearance and speech has down syndrome.  He was the perfect victim for these bored officers to abuse.

A bulge could be any of a number of things that do not include a weapon.  I can think of many which are health related.  I have a friend who has a bulge due to an insulin pump.  My dad had a bulge from his pain meds just before he passed away.  This doesn’t even include the idea that maybe clothes got bunched up, or they are concealing something they would just rather not have seen.

The idea that concealing something automatically provides a reason for law-enforcement to stop, detain, and search you is disconcerting on so many levels it’s not even funny.  Especially since a search is not legal unless you are being placed under arrest.

Looking at this from another point of view, what if that had been a legal concealed carrier?  That person could have been easily ventilated on the sidewalk by what appears to be Officer Roid-Rages yet another of cousins.

About All Those Felonies

A basic principal to our criminal justice system centers around intent.  The increase in felonies, victimless laws, and other crimes in which no intent is required is becoming increasingly disturbing.  Thankfully someone else is noticing.

For centuries, a bedrock principle of criminal law has held that people must know they are doing something wrong before they can be found guilty. The concept is known as mens rea, Latin for a "guilty mind."

This legal protection is now being eroded as the U.S. federal criminal code dramatically swells. In recent decades, Congress has repeatedly crafted laws that weaken or disregard the notion of criminal intent. Today not only are there thousands more criminal laws than before, but it is easier to fall afoul of them.

The article goes on to state how a man was arrested and served time in jail for much the same as selling a firearm.  His mistake was he hadn’t fully vetted the person buying the product.  He had no intent to break the law, he had a reasonable belief the transaction was legal, but that was not good enough.

The whole point of our legal system no longer centers around protecting the innocent but bringing in as many as possible.  Convicted felons have numerous rights stripped, including some that cannot even be restored through the courts.

It gets better though because those creating the laws and enforcing them are also confiscating the property of those they charge.  Then you have State Sponsored Criminals walking off with the confiscated materials.  How bad could this over criminalization be though?

Overall, more than 40% of nonviolent offenses created or amended during two recent Congresses—the 109th and the 111th, the latter of which ran through last year—had "weak" mens rea requirements at best, according to a study conducted by the conservative Heritage Foundation and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

(Emphasis mine.)  Do you really think that is by accident?  It certainly isn’t a coincidence.  What better way to control the public than by criminalizing all of them.  The government is continually driving that wedge of us vs. them.  Any law that is victimless, I.E. ownership and possession laws, do nothing other than criminalize many who would otherwise be law abiding.

Remember, the government is not your friend.

SSCC #105-110, Detroit PD

A former suburban Detroit police chief, his wife and five police officers have been charged with stealing drug-forfeiture money and using it to buy marijuana, booze, prostitutes and a tanning salon, The Detroit Free Press reports.

Basically the chief and his officers used material confiscated from others to fund their own personal lives.  It didn’t belong to the state, it belonged to them because they were the one’s who took it.  Besides if we doctor the sheets here and there no one would ever find out right?

Seriously forfeiture laws do nothing but provide extra leeway for the corruption of government.  A friend brings drugs over to your house without you knowing and sells to someone else?  Congrats the feds can now confiscate your house.  It’s one thing to require illegal material to be forfeited, legal property is something completely different.  While it might make since to recover stolen property or funds, again the state isn’t maintaining ownership there after.

A Matter of Trust

I received an alert this afternoon that actually took me by surprise.

A security firm revealed today that mysql.com, the central repository for widely-used Web database software, was hacked and booby-trapped to serve visitors with malicious software. The disclosure caught my eye because just a few days ago I saw evidence that administrative access to mysql.com was being sold on the hacker underground for just $3,000.

This wasn't idiot malware either where people are conned into a dialog box.

Web security firm Armorize stated in its blog that mysql.com was poisoned with a script that invisibly redirects visitors to a Web site that uses the BlackHole exploit pack, an automated exploit toolkit that probes visiting browsers for a variety of known security holes.

“It exploits the visitor’s browsing platform (the browser, the browser plugins like Adobe Flash, Adobe PDF, etc, Java, …), and upon successful exploitation, permanently installs a piece of malware into the visitor’s machine, without the visitor’s knowledge,” say the researchers. “The visitor doesn’t need to click or agree to anything; simply visiting mysql.com with a vulnerable browsing platform will result in an infection.”

This type of exploit is still easily defensible by using the proper browsing plugins, such as no-script, ad-block, and making sure they are a default deny state.  Remember that just because you trust  a site today doesn't make it trustworthy tomorrow.  Be cautious and be aware.  Condition yellow applies to the internet just as it does in reality.

If you can do your web browsing through a VM you might want to do exactly that.  I did do that for a long time but eventually laziness won since it didn't actually get me much in the way of extra security.  I've seen how easily something can go bad without doing anything questionable.  I had malware, which was thankfully caught, that tried to install itself when I clicked to look at a screen shot of an upcoming game on a Google image search.

If you've been to MySQL.com recently make sure to check your machine out.  I have a feeling this attack was targeted like it did because most of the people who visit that site are likely to have elevated privileges on other systems.  While most of those visitors will be security savvy, many also would have likely been trusting due to who the host was.

It Can’t Happen Here–Seattle, WA

It may be the 21st century, but hate crime still exists.  Whether it is by color of one’s skin or one’s gender orientation, there are still people out there that have a problem with it and will act out.  No matter where you live it can happen.  Be it college campuses or large, seemingly progressive cities, no place is immune.

"It feels like a violation," said Evans, "feels really shocking because you don't think things like this happen anymore, especially in Seattle, Washington."

It really sucks that this happened and I hope the party responsible gets caught, but you are living in a dream world if you think it can’t or won’t happen here.

Just because you think something has been relegated to the dustbin of history, you can still have some asshat trying to revive it.

It Can’t Happen Here–Issaquah, WA

A high class, quiet town nestled in the Cascade foothills in Western Washington, what could possibly happen there?  The most one ever hears about Issaquah is that it is home to Krispy Kreme Donuts in Western Washington (they showed up there first before spreading).  Who'd a thunk a deranged lunatic would would open fire there?

"We were running from guns. That's not supposed to happen in Issaquah," she said.

"It was so close. It was like you didn't really think it could be gunfire right behind you," said another woman who was there, Dawn Hill.

Issaquah is home to people who work at tech companies, much like Microsoft and it’s not exactly "low rent".  Yet, bad things still happen.

“In my whole life I've never seen anything like this,” said Jack Hover.

Just because it hasn’t happen before, doesn’t mean it can't happen at all.

SSCC #102-Pasco PD

When asked why he had marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia in his patrol car, former Pasco deputy Marshall Todd DeBerry told investigators:

"All I can say is I'm a disorganized moron," a report states.

Supposedly this man was not up to anything and this was just disorganization.  Yet there is something in the back of my head that says that there’s more here.

He rose to the rank of corporal until 2008, when he was reassigned to patrol deputy and suspended two days without pay for warning an informant of an impending raid, according to a report in his personnel file.

Coupled with the following:

DeBerry resigned from the Sheriff's Office in February after he became ensnared in a criminal investigation. Authorities then would not provide any details about the allegations.

At least in this case the department in question is finally doing something about it.  Though I doubt the punishment will be anything substantial.

Let There be Light

For those who have worked manufacturing explosives at Boomershoot.  You already know how miserable the elements can make that situation.  Even at the end of April, snow and sleet are not unheard of, high winds are common, and it can make manufacturing just down right miserable.

Well yesterday we took delivery of the new manufacturing facility and put it in place.

Joe oversaw the delivery of the container.  It took us a bit of figuring out of how to get it in place so we could finish leveling it properly.  After the containers was put in it’s temporary location we headed to town for lunch.  We had some other business to take care of in tow (which I’m sure Joe will explain later).  Let’s just say yesterday murphy’s law was in full force.

2010 UCR Data and the Brady Score Card

Recently the FBI updated their UCS data to reflect the information including 2010.  For those who are new to the blog, earlier this year I ripped apart the scorecard against the 2009 UCS, as well as the 2006 census data.*

I spent this morning updating my spreadsheets to the 2010 UCS data.  Here’s the overall result:

image

While R2 has increased, it is still inconsequential and shows absolutely zero correlation over the entire data set.  It is worth nothing though the overall score vs. crime trend has gone from being slightly negative to positive.  By looking at the plot, you can see that different scores are scattered across the entire field of crime rates.  So let’s look at just states who scored above 50.

image

Correlation decreased for all scores above 50, however it still shows a positive trend towards an increase in violent crime.  This trend though, like the overall chart is extremely weak due to the low R2 value.

image

Again a low correlation, however again it’s a positive trend for a higher score.  Still only three states, 15%, with a score above 20 had a crime rate below 300.  Those still were sitting toward the higher crime rates.  Again I normalized the data and examined the distribution confidence.

image

For this graph I took everything around the peak normalized value for 25% of each side.  In other words everything between the 25th percentile and 75th percentile is included.  Notice how it looks like a shot gun blast, though what is interesting is the cluster of points with low Brady scores.  That region includes 24 data points, of which only 8 have scores above 20.  The highest scores amazingly appear with that confidence range, along with every other score.

So as previously noted the Brady score means absolutely nothing.  Linoge has examined the 2010 UCR as the pertain to firearms.  He has also detailed other firearm related data from the CDC.

Seeing Linoge's graphs, as well as mine has given me an idea for a couple more graphs that I want to create to help view trends in context with other data.  There's another project for me to work on.

*You are free to repost these graphs, however I must request that you provide a direct link back to these posts. Some individuals seem to think that providing credit to those who put forth the effort to create these doesn’t really matter.  Please, don’t be that dick.  It takes a lot of time to organize the data and graph it. If you don’t feel it takes that much time, do it yourself. So if you want to use these graphs, feel free, please just provide proper credit.

SSCC Honorable Mention-TSA

One of the top federal Transportation Security Administration officials in the state of Mississippi has been arrested in connection with the killing of TSA worker Stacey Wright.

Evidently the TSA is now eating it's own.  The article is seriously devoid of details.  This incident did not happen while on the job so it is only an honorable mention.

Why would I bother to mention it though?  Well it's actually quite simple, the TSA constantly informs us how strict their screening process is and how we should trust their employees.

Yet time after time we see exactly the opposite is true.

This might very well be a full criminal count as it may have started as an illicit affair which the senior official then became worried about it becoming public, but that speculation and who really knows.

What is known is that a senior TSA official, responsible for screening has been arrested in connection with the murder of one of his employees.

Does that sound like the type of person you want to allow into the details and personal areas of your life?  Remember he's a senior official, not just a lowly peon.

SSCC #101–LA County Sheriff

Reason.com alerts us to an LA Times article covering a recent trial in which a private citizen's cellphone video proved officers lied about an arrest, resulting in the acquittal of a young man accused of carrying a concealed firearm.

If it hadn’t been for that video that kid would be going to jail. If anyone had lied as blatantly as those officers they very likely could be nailed for perjury.  Those officers though have their testimony treated like gold, worth more than any other individuals.

Ouch, Even the Hometown Agrees

You know it's bad for Obama when even his "hometown", the bastion of corrupt politics, starts explaining why he shouldn't run for reelection.

But there is good news for the president. I checked the Constitution, and he is under no compulsion to run for re-election. He can scrap the campaign, bag the fundraising calls and never watch another Republican debate as long as he's willing to vacate the premises by Jan. 20, 2013.

Seriously, that's got to hurt.  Then again fearless leader is so dense he might read the article and some how think it's a compliment.

Read the whole thing, there's some awesome line's in there.  I think my personal favorite is:

Someone said that when a man is smitten with a beautiful woman, he
should remember that somebody somewhere is tired of her. Likewise, the
most inspiring presidents get stale after years of constant
overexposure.

It's by no means the first time I've seen this analogy, but it's down right amazing to see these come out of an editor at the Chicago Times of all places.

I'm not counting my chickens yet, I wouldn't be surprised to see the GOP auger the Presidential election into the ground.  At the same time there's a large uphill battle the Democrats are going to have just to retain the presidency.  I think I should start a pool on who's going to screw the pooch.

SSCC #100–Las Vegas PD

I was wondering what to use for #100.  There were a few incidents I could think of historically that I had already covered that fit rolling over to 3 digits.

Erik turned to find three officers facing him, guns drawn, and all three shouting different commands: “Get on the ground!” “Drop your weapon!” “Keep your hands up!” Erik held his hands up, spoke calmly, told them he DID have a concealed firearm and a legal CCW and was an ex-Army officer. His girlfriend was screaming about Erik being a West Point grad, former Army officer, etc. Erik leaned to his left, hands still up, to expose the pistol, and repeated, “I am disarming; I am disarming.” Witnesses say he started to lower his right hand, palm OUT, perhaps intending to remove holster and gun together — but never got the hand below his shoulder, when one of the cops (believed to be William Mosher, who had committed a fatal shooting in 2006) shot Erik in the chest with a .45-caliber semi-automatic weapon. Erik dropped to his knees, clearly in shock, his face a picture of disbelief. He was shot a second time and collapsed. The rest is ugly. The three officers unloaded again, firing a total of seven hollow-point rounds. At least four, possibly five, hit Erik in the back, after he was on the ground and dying.

It ends up that Erik’s firearm never left it’s holster.  The call from Costco evidently also primed the pump for the officers to “see some action”.  The entire incident was a gigantic Charlie Foxtrot from the very beginning.  No single officer was in command, everyone was.  No effort was done to be civil or just find out what was going on.

Their solution to the problem was determined by them before they even got there.  We’ve seen that type of behavior before and it never ends well.

During the investigation some of the testimony was quite disturbing.  From the testimony it sounds like the Pima County Sherriff took lessons for the Gurerena raid.  Officers started shooting and didn’t know exactly why.  They felt justified because their fellow officers were shooting so their must be danger.

Self-restraint is a very important personality trait.  Even more important when your actions and behavior can cause a chain of events that will result in the death of an innocent.

Seriously I’m at a loss for words at the behavior of those officers.  What that man was doing was protected by state law and they arrested and assaulted him.  Even after being notified of their being in the wrong.

A note, I would suggest after notifying them of the law just keep your mouth shut.  They have created a monopoly on force by disarming everyone attempting to view a public meeting in a public building.  Some civil attorney is going to have a field day with this.

A physically disabled Atlanta woman, who said she was thrown to the ground and arrested for refusing to get out of her chair, is seeking compensation.

Dan Grossman, an attorney for Shequita Walker, 40, said she was sitting April 21 on a metal chair in the vacant lot next to her home, where she often sits on hot afternoons, when police officer Kenneth Thomas approached and asked her to move, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday.

Grossman said Walker, who suffers from severe joint pain and has a limited range of motion, told the officer she was within her rights to sit outside and Thomas then twisted her arm, causing her to fall to the concrete.

This is what happens when cops get bored.  It’s quite similar to this incident in which the judge joined in on the party.  The wife just forwarded me a nice article with a picture taken during the arrest.

Opt out of screening, here’s the result

What happened next was unnecessary and out of line; instead of just running his fingers along the waistband, he pulled out, at which point my button ripped out of the shorts, and the zipper came all the way down, exposing my underwear down to the crotch. Horror. I quickly zipped my shorts up. What the hell? I can understand there might have be a possibility that the thread or fabric near the button had been weakened over time, but even then, my zipper should not have unzipped down to the bottom if he was only feeling the waistband. Obviously my frustration showed, but did the TSA agent offer a solution for my broken button? or say anything besides “oops. I’m Sorry”? No. He just continued over to the machine to wipe his gloves down looking for residue, and then put wipe into machine.

I’m reasonably sure the only reason they escorted him to the back room is to ensure there would be no witnesses to the attack.  Yes this was an attack because it resulted in damage to property.  Not only that but the agents actions were nothing more than an attempt at sexual humiliation.

I don’t wish ill or harm on anyone, but frankly my opinion is starting to change regarding TSA agents.  Even if agent A isn’t responsible, he still covers for agent B.  They're nothing but predators who cover for each other.

A veteran Houston police officer with a blood-alcohol content of .205 — more than twice the legal limit — was driving to work when he collided with a private school bus this month, authorities said.

Emphasis mine.  It bugs me that the two papers are indicating a different BAC, though the newer article may be the result of a more accurate blood test.  Either way he was well beyond smashed and he was going to continue to be smashed well beyond after his shift started.

Then to add insult to injury the police tried to fault the bus driver and even cited the bus driver.  So Trejo wasn’t charged with DUI until two weeks later.  Thankfully the citation against the bus driver was dropped.  In a shining glimmer of hope.  Trejo was basically fired by the department meaning the pension board can decide not to give him benefits.  That little bit right there would shift this from SSCC to also being Accountabiliabuddiable (A possible thought for the name of the other series).

I wonder if this guy is going to move up to Indianapolis now and join the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.  Tam say’s it’s so common up their it’s loosing it’s news worthiness and they probably scout for talent

SSCC 87-91: TSA, Florida SP, Westchester County

Authorities said that the TSA officers — two in Florida and one in New York — were paid to help drug couriers move pills and the stacks of cash they generated through airport screening systems. One of the police officers — a Florida state trooper — took drug money to travel to Connecticut, where he provided "protection" to a courier selling thousands of pills to a dozen or more lower-level dealers, authorities said.

This isn’t the first time that government officials have aided in drug smuggling.  The mistake in this case though was not getting your parents permission first.  You might notice the above only lists 4 people, what about #5?

The dealer said he made payments totaling $20,000 to a Westchester County police officer assigned to the airport there in order to be permitted to carry — without being questioned — large quantities of cash back to Florida, according to a DEA affidavit.

Ahh, there he is.  Pay the top for to ignore the pills, bribe the last guy to ignore the cash.  Whenever you see drugs and money, odds are starting to look pretty good you might see someone there also getting paid by the taxpayer.

Just remember that TSA agent who’s violating your wife is probably also getting a kickback from some criminal to ignore the stuff he should be looking for.  The TSA has nothing to do with security or enforcing the law.  It has everything to do with obedience and doing what you’re told if you’re a law abiding sheep.

Report Your Neighbor, Get a Piece of Candy

So via Uncle this morning we found out about Obama’s new campaign to to silence dissent amongst the American people.

Friends using Oldspeak? Well, go tell Uncle Barack how double plus ungood they are!

This is much the same as his “Fight the Smears” campaign or flag@whitehouse.gov.  We also can not forget about the thickest icing on the cake, how Obama was creating a position amongst his czars specifically to enforce reasoned discourse at the point of a gun.  Here I thought American Presidents had members of a cabinet, while fearless leader preferred to have Czars.

The bottom line is Obama wants to quell criticism because that’s the only way he can attempt to hid the truth.  In the words of John Adams, “Facts are stubborn things.”  His effort to stifle the voice of the American people is down right insulting and is blatantly the sign of a tyrant.  He can respond all he likes by posting rebuttals, but efforts such as this scream nothing more than 1-800-Dial-a-Nazi.  Seriously you may be campaigning for reelection but you still in your position of power.  Things like this are too easily abused.

This all coming from the same White House that appointed Eric Holder to AG, and disavows any knowledge of “Gun Walker” .  Kind of convenient considering his comment earlier this year stating that “gun control was happening under the radar”.  The individual in charge of the ATF was just a temporary appointment to avoid congressional review.  He has since been forced to step down, but instead of being fired, he got a transfer.  Where could a person with such high moral caliber work, I know the Justice Department!  Then on the “Attack Watch” website they claim that Obama is pro-gun because of the National Parks Concealed Carry rider that was tacked onto a credit card bill.  A bill that was deemed important by his party so it was almost sure to pass.

I think Weer’d nailed it with this video:

So given my bash fest here, my previous posts about him and other government policies; if you want to report this site, feel free.  I will state again what I stated last time involving the creation of that stupid ass czar.

Note: I will not remove any information that is critical of the President or any other elected official.  While the President is deserving of the respect granted him by the office, that does not render him able to do anything without criticism.  Any federal or state employee works for me and I can be critical of how they conduct their business, treat my rights, and behave while spending my money.  The office does not make them a pure soul, they are like you and me, a human being.  If the elected representative dislikes the criticism maybe they should alter their behavior to decrease criticism by myself and others like me.

SSCC #85–FBI, Alameda and Martinez Police

Police and FBI agents arrested a drug suspect in Alameda on Wednesday, but not before mistakenly trying to raid a home across the street belonging to a network TV reporter and her political consultant husband.

Officers intended to carry out a follow-up raid Wednesday, but didn't realize that Ung had sold the four-bedroom home to the Clemenses about three months ago and is renting a home across the street.

Awesome police work there sparky!  Guess all those delayed notice warrants for terrorism have really aided the police in doing their job haven’t they?  Seriously why do these mentally degenerate morons never think to actually verify the person they’re looking for lives there first.  Then at least when they point their guns as someone and try to arrest them they at least know they are dealing with the right person.

It reminds me of a scene from Demolition Man

Chief: "While you were sleeping, everyone in the city was installed code. Sensors all over the city can zero in on anyone at any time. I can't even conceive a visual of what you police officers did before it was developed."

Stallone: "We worked for a living. This fascist crap makes me want to puke."

Now days instead of working for a living, they just kick down any door and shoot whoever’s inside.  No worries about consequences though, the law protects them from such silly things.  Though in this case we didn’t hear about them shooting the dog.  Though I think Ry was right when he said, “Of course, she's a reporter, so they didn't shoot her dog.”  Cause while they shoot other peoples dogs, this one would be guaranteed to be in the news for the next month until a settlement was paid out.

Like Alan I’m late to the meme party.  My buddy Phil put this up and for some reason I didn’t even think much about it.  Stupid work, because I love soundtrack questions like thatAlan’s choice to use as his ammo runs out is down right awesome.  Tam’s is down right slick

I have to admit it’s something hard to think about since it would mean that I made a horrible decision in planning.  I mean large zombie hordes are why I have Joe teaching me about explosives.  Why use a rifle to take out 2 or 3 when I can blow 20 to hell and gone from a nice distance?  But assuming I utterly screwed the pooch in planning what would I want slinging across my MP3 Player?

This would work… not too fast, and provides the motivation necessary to WIN!

Even if I run out of ammo, by god between my bayonet and my rifle I’m leaving as the last son of a bitch still standing on top of the hill.  I can stab, bludgeon, and otherwise fight by any other means necessary.

"I don't feel like I did anything wrong," maintains Toussain Puddie, the 32-year-old former TSA screener who took home Rick Case's pen and now faces grand-theft charges at the behest of Case and his family.

Basically the incident rolls like this.  TSA agent see’s pen.  TSA agent likes pen.  TSA agent now want’s pen and confiscates it.  TSA agent then takes pen home as his own personal property.

What kind of pen in question would he want to steal?  One of these.  The exact pen in question is valued at $450 dollars.

In this case he’s being held accountable, but only because the owner who’s property was stolen is wanting to press charges.  The bottom line is the TSA is nothing more than thieves and pilferers who prey upon those just trying to get from point a to b.

SSCC #83: San Antonio

A 14-year-old boy got into a fight at a school bus stop and the school district's police officer responded by shooting him to death, the boy's mother says. She says the cop had been reprimanded 16 times in the previous 4 years, suspended without pay 5 times, and "recommended for termination for insubordination," but the school kept him on the force "without remedial training."

Basically the cop was told just let the kid go, we’ll find him later there’s no need to exacerbate the situation and just stay with the victim.  What’s he do instead, throw the victim in the back of his patrol car, drive around the neighborhood looking for him.  At this point the kid is hiding in a garden shed.

Owner of the shed calls police disturbed, and as expected officer hero is the first to arrive.  This is what followed:

Nonetheless, she says: "In violation of NISD police department procedures, Alvarado drew his weapon immediately after exiting the patrol car. With his gun drawn, he rushed through the gate and into the back yard. Within seconds from arriving at the residence, Alvarado shot and killed the unarmed boy hiding in the shed."

Because at this point he had every reason in the world to believe that the use of deadly force against a 14 year old kid that is hiding because he’s terrified will be totally justified.  Right?  Heaven forbid you just try and talk the child out of the garden shed.  Why would anyone bother to try and be civil about this and not run to the use of force?  Oh that’s right he’s a cop, this is what would happen instead:

Rather than fire Alvarado, the district transferred him to patrol, "an area of duty with less supervision," according to the complaint.

Seriously instead of being punished, note he’s been moved to a location with less supervision.  Also he’s been reprimanded 16 times.  Between this guy and Officer Roid Rage there’s a clear pattern developing.  Cops are getting get our of jail free cards and evidently they even work with the unlawful use of lethal force.

Random Thought Of The Day

There is actually a huge market now for chastity belts other than those who have strange kinks.  They can be applied and used while going through airport screenings to help prevent sexual assaults like this.  It's kind of hard for someone to grab your junk through metal, plastic, or any other stiff material.  Besides, you just need to wear it while going through the security check point.

Tonight's posts are going to lean heavily towards the TSA.  My inbox has exploded with different articles regarding different incidents with the cancer that is the TSA.

SSCC Honorable Mention–San Diego PD

… Sgt. Dan Cerar’s frequent reference to victims of crimes as “whores, sluts, and liars;” exclusion of female detectives from the male “dress down” Thursday shooting practice; … the patter and practice by male detectives (Fletes and Hershman) of referring to female detectives as “sugar tits” and/or commenting on the “racks” of female victims, co-workers, and advocates; reference by Lt. Rick O’Hanlon that the Sex Crimes unit has a “chromosome problem”…

So if you don’t feel like reading all 12 pages of the complaint, the above is just one of the shining examples of the issues within the San Diego PD.  What I find most disturbing is that this was in the Sex Crimes unit.

These individuals have absolutely no respect for women, and I wouldn’t doubt that each of these beer swilling, crotch rotting, roid raging,  jocks regularly abused and mistreated women while they were in college.  I don’t see how anyone like that should be in law enforcement at all, much less in direct contact with people who will have gone through some of the worst mental trauma imaginable.

Seriously I want to continue the rant but the rage is just too much.

The names getting the honorable mention:

In February 2008, Burgos bought a Hydra-Ram II hydraulic pump, which police and firefighters use to break down doors in emergencies, and gave it to the leader of a "violent robbery crew," the U.S. Attorney's Office said in announcing the sentence.

Basically he was the equivalent of the ATF in Operation Gunwalker.  He was supplying arms and munitions to known criminals.  He felt that these criminals were exempt since they were only attacking other criminals.

Ends up what was going on is they were executing raids like no-knocks on confirmed dealers and suspected dealers.  Stealing anything and everything they could.

While Burgos didn’t join the gang, he most certainly aided their efforts as well as helped shield them from being caught.

Initially I was going to call this an honorable mention, but this is just another example of just letting someone else do the dirty work for you while you keep their hands clean.

SSCC #76-81: Philomath PD

On or about September 12,2009, Benton deputies visited the Holcombe residence at 24577 Ervin Rd. in Philomath due to a noise disturbance. Deputies found Danny Holcombe and Jane McWilliams naked in their hot tub. They compelled them to exit the hottub and invaded their privacy watching them leave naked. Benton officers pointed tasers at Mr. Danny Holcombe and Jane McWilliams while they were naked in their hot tub. Deputies also pointed a weapon at the unarmed 20 -year-old son Jon Holcombe. Deputy Gavatosky and Officer Doe wrongfully detained, arrested and charged Jane McWilliams, who never committed any crime and was trying to hold her robe closed. In the course of arrest, they exposed her nakedness and laughed about it, expounding how that is how they do it in Philomath. She spent a night in a filthy jail cell subjected to verbal abuse. All charges were dropped.

Jon Holcombe sustained no charges. Deputy A Hardison tasered a half naked unarmed Danny Holcombe, with hands in his pockets, and dropped him to the ground, kicking his knee out from under him, hit him in the head with a solid object, resulting in bleeding, resulting in facial lacerations and a skull laceration and an aggravation of his former work-related injuries to his shoulders, right hand, left wrist ,back and neck. Danny Holcomb sustained Taser wounds to the chest and torso. He later treated at the hospital for left wrist subluxation, right shoulder and arm radial nerve damage, issues his right hand and thumb were crushed in the fall.

Yeah, you totally needed to taser a half naked man who was unarmed.  Then again I could see the individual being quite pissed off considering you were verbally degrading his wife.  Even if that’s the case I still don’t see a need for the taser or any of this incident at all.

Noise complaints to me are nothing more than the excuse cops use in most cases to go harass people.  Most people have never really heard something that would qualify as a noise complaint.  Try living in a college town some time, believe me if you can’t hear it 4 blocks away it doesn’t really count.

A More Free America

10 Years ago today I woke up in the morning astonished as to what I was seeing on the news.  I woke up that morning to head to class, it was my senior year of high school.  As always I watched the news while getting ready and at first I thought it was an ad for some new movie.  Then I watched the second plane crash into Tower 2 live.  I collapsed on my bed and yelled to my mom to turn on the TV down stairs.

We knew that nothing would be the same, sadly as my dad seemed to be able to do, he called what would happen.

A friend of mine nailed the correct response to the question, “Where were you 10 years ago today?”

His response, “A more free America.”

He’s right, everything has been done in the vain of security but the result has done nothing but destroy the freedoms and liberties we have.  My dad was right in his call because after that morning, we have done more damage to ourselves than they ever possibly could.  If they hated us for our way of life and freedoms prior to that day, they needed to do nothing more than watch us destroy ourselves.

Not even a month before the 9/11 attacks I walked on to a plane carrying my pocket knife.  While I was a scout in uniform, I can tell you that A Security Theater would molest me and steal my property today.  With DHS deeming us Scouts nothing more than terrorists that are intent on a suicide mission.  Sadly though I think that’s the point, none of this has been for security, but instead to destroy the freedoms we had.  If the TSA was about security, explain this, this, or this.  (I could keep going but you probably get the point.)

My dad actually called me to make sure I wasn’t going to run and enlist, he knew exactly what I was feeling. In the end I felt that it would do nothing to help, and it would be far better for me to continue the existing plan of going to the Academy or doing NROTC.  I received an appointment to Rice University the following February.

I have not forgotten, nor will I ever forget.

I have not forgotten what happened that fateful day, nor will I ever forget what America once was and what it should be.  This is no longer America.

Like JayG I’m still angry.  I however am not just angry at the people who perpetrated this attack, but also pissed at my elected representatives who seized on the opportunity to squander away my freedoms and that of my children.  Those freedoms are NOT yours to take.

Bacon And Boomsticks

The wife and I were able to do the bacon today, not so much the boomsticks though.  That didn’t hold us back though.  As always we were packing, and we felt that we would put a little extra on the whole idea of bacon and boomsticks.

We went not only with bacon, but bacon baked beans, and then to add some extra icing on the cake kosher beef franks.  We all know how much those turban wearing asshats love the Jewish so I made sure that I was also sending money in a direction I knew would totally piss them off.

Then we totally violated the kosherness of the franks by wrapping them in bacon strips.

A Security Theater and Illegal Aliens

Further evidence that TSA is really A Security Theater.

This month a federal audit reveals that, after nearly a decade, the TSA still can’t guarantee that agents working in “secure” areas of airports don’t pose a risk. That’s because the agency doesn’t always verify the identity of job applicants or even their legal status against a government immigration database.

This means that the TSA can’t account for agency employees with access to secure areas of airports, according to a Homeland Security Inspector General report made public a few days ago.

(Emphasis Mine) These are the same people who are given a free pass to sexually assault law abiding airline passengers, allows pedophiles to screen children, and overall is nothing but a group of individuals whose sole turn on is the abuse and molestation of the American people.

While claiming to act in the necessary methods to ensure security they have let unscreened unsecured persons into their own rank and file.  If I was a terrorist I would become a TSA agent, what better way to hide than in plain sight.  Especially considering these crap shoveling idiots couldn’t catch the clap in a whore house.

The TSA has never caught one single terrorist, not only that but they failed every last red team exercise.  They have however abused the very people who were responsible for stopping terrorist attacks in progress.  A security theater is nothing more than a ploy to make the ignorant and stupid feel safe.  Those of us with brains though carry the brunt of the burden by receiving the largest amount of abuse from agents.  Look how they treat anyone who opts out.

These piss swilling cheeba monkeys are TSA agents because of one of the following three conditions:

  1. They are too stupid to get a job any place else, including McDonald’s.
  2. They get off on physically molesting people .
  3. They are wanting crimes of opportunity for theft .

There are no other options.  While one would say maybe they just need a job, the bottom line is they sold their morals down the river and now are molesting people.  They are molesting people cause obviously they’re too stupid to get a job any place else.  If they just needed a job and didn’t like molesting people they would tell their supervisor to go fuck themselves because the molestation is unlawful.

The TSA is pointless though for yet another reason, it’s the equivalent of defensive fortifications.  If you play defensively you are playing a reactionary game.  The offenses goal is to find holes or methods around your defenses.  You are doing nothing to occupy them or distract them from attacking their goal.  It’s a pointless endeavor that will always end in failure.  How many people do you know that can actually win a game of chess by only playing defensively.  At best they can stalemate, however most like they they are going to loose since they will never take a piece from their opponent.

Anyone who claims the TSA is doing a good job is a mumbling imbecile who couldn’t pour piss out of a boot while reading the directions on the heel.  Day after day, month after month, incident after incident is found that shows just how pointless the TSA is.  Seriously, why do we put up with them and those that work for them?  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, ostracize those who work for the TSA, make them feel uncomfortable, and make sure to tell those dough assed shit hooks exactly what they are.  The Brown Shirts of the 21st century.  If you think I’m wrong remember “Terror must be broken by Terror”.  What else would you call their behavior other than terror?

Accountability: Social Worker in Pittsburgh

Looks like I might create a happier post series to go along with the State Sponsored Criminal Count.  This one however will be much happier.  The bottom line is when you see a state official getting held accountable for doing something stupid, it goes in the series.

I posted earlier about the judge ruling that the owners of a dog who was killed by an officer during a B.S. search could in fact file civil suit against the officer.  Well this one is even better.

Social workers must stand trial for seizing a newborn baby without finding out whether a poppy-seed bagel could have caused the child's mother to test positive for a trace amount of opiates, a federal judge ruled.

From reading the court filing the social worker only accepted the least credible information indicating "possible exposure to opiates."  Disregarding all other evidence to the contrary, including other medical information that proved it the test to be in error.  Then after the social worker discovered her error, she continued to refuse to return the child.

Why would this qualify under the accountability series, this oh so wonderful series of words:

The caseworker, Chrissy Montague, claimed she was entitled to immunity
from suit because her petition for a court order to confiscate the baby
was done in furtherance of her statutory mandate to protect children
from abuse.

Cercone said that claim was "wide of the mark."

...

"These allegations identify decisions and actions that are beyond the
petitioning and ministerial functions and are predicated on factual
assertions that do not establish entitlement to immunity as a matter of
law
," Cercone wrote.

Emphasis mine. The thought of one of these baby stealing, moral pushing, doughassed pricks finally being held accountable like this makes me all giddy inside.  It's not some jack booted thug on a no-knock, but it's certainly a start and on a subject just as terrifying.

All I can think of is this phrase from The New Guy.

So, tonight I'll work on creating a submission form for yet another series.  Hopefully this one will be better for people's health reminding them there is still a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.  What I do need though is a catchy witty title.  If you have ideas, please throw them in the comments.  Seriously though if you see one, email it to me.  Common, these events are not.

Speaking of Puppy Killing Police

Linoge posted a blog yesterday on something a little happier than my average State Sponsored Criminal Count series.  I also know some of my more common readers are wondering if I own stock in Pfizer because the series is doing not so nice things to their blood pressure.

So I came across this and while the starting story is bad, I must say it's nice to see that the family isn't getting screwed.

Bandit, a "harmless and gentle dog" that was euthanized after the shooting, never attacked anybody, the family claimed in February.

But that didn't stop Deputy Sheriff William Vernoski from opening a backyard gate and shooting the pup with a .45-caliber pistol from 10 feet away, according to the suit.

Ends up the cop was serving a 9 year old warrant for the ex-husband who hadn't lived there for 7 years.  Awesome police work isn't it, well it gets better!  Ends up he then tried to silence the family by filing a citation claiming the dog escaped and attacked a sheriff.

Cops hate dogs, there's no question.  Any time a cop shows up at someone's house and they have a dog they seem to die.  Even if it's in it's carrier and poses no threat to the officer.

Thankfully the judge in this case said the cop isn't safe from the civil suit.  It's a small win, but I'll take it.

This is not limited to third world countries, look at what happened in Lakewood, WA and Fort Hood, TX.  What really bites and pours salt into open wounds is the fact that our men in the military cannot be armed while in uniform.

SSCC #62-#73–Orlando Police

Prosecutors have dropped attempted murder charges against a man who was shot in November by Orlando police officers who claimed he tried to ram them with his van.

The decision came after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement obtained surveillance video that appears to show an Orlando police pickup truck pushing the van into other officers' vehicles.

But wait, there’s more… (Emphasis mine)

The FDLE forwarded its findings to the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office, which dropped charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and other serious felonies that could have led to life sentences. Prosecutors have decided to take no action against the officers.

So let me get this straight.  Cop A rams the citizen’s car into Cop B who then shoots claiming the citizen tried to run him over.  Seriously you can’t make crap like this up.  To then put the icing on the cake, they attempt to charge the man with attempted murder, which would have stuck had it not been for the surveillance tape.  Since the officers got busted lying, it doesn’t matter because it’s just business as usual.

Seriously no charges, none!?  Evidently anything and everything goes if you’re an Orlando police officer even if you get caught.  If you want some side income, become an Orlando PD officer and run a brothel.  If they don’t care about attempted murder, perjury, and unlawful use of force; why would they care about an officer running a brothel?

Every officer associated with this incident is guilty, due to the following, that ticker is rolling fast.

Thunder on the Snake–Day 2

While laying fast asleep in my tent suddenly something jostles me awake demanding my undivided attention.  I listen and all the sudden I hear what sounds like rain pouring down on the tent.  I think to myself, “Interesting, there wasn’t any rain in the forecast.”  Then as quickly as the downpour started it stops.  Now I’m confused, wondering why a down pour would start and end so quickly out here.  Then the downpour begins again and the realization sets in, that’s no downpour, that’s a sprinkler.

I dive out of bed and spend the next 15 minutes keeping the sprinkler from hitting the tent anymore and finally the sprinkler recedes.  I won the battle, but I didn’t realize I was about to completely loose the war.  A second set turned on, one of which came up between the rainfly and the tent.  At this point I call it hopeless and tell the wife what’s going on.  The solution is to pack up and head out.  That’s exactly what we do.  At 0200 we start packing up all of our equipment back into our rig.

Seriously read the whole story, it’s sad, it’s depressing, and quite frankly it’s also enraging.  But it gets even worse when you see the following:

Despite the wide audience she enjoys, Amy’s story could easily have been lost in the din of routine TSA excess. But because Amy didn’t take it quietly — because she called the TSA employee out for her assault, and because she wrote about it — now she’s facing a legal threat.

The TSA agent — one Thedala Mageehas demanded that Amy pay her $500,000 for Magdee’s distress at being called out.

This could have been your wife, your sister, your mother, or your daughter.  Truthfully the only reason this woman got away with it is because it remained in the shadows.  It is now quite ironic that it is the agent herself, feeling invulnerable because of her position is now drawing more light to it.  There can be no doubt that the TSA will back the effort to help aid in intimidating people into being sheep.

The TSA hires criminals, perverts, and sexual predators.  What did they really expect was going to happen?  It’s not as if they’re hiring the best and brightest.

State Sponsored Criminal Count: 61 Thedala Magee

Because raping someone when you’re on the clock and a TSA agent is an acceptable practice when used to intimidate other passengers into compliance.

Disgraceful

Mayor Bloomberg, the asshat, has decided that first responders are not invited to the 10th anniversary ceremony of ground zero.

Because you know, the people who ran into the buildings trying to save people should totally be left out.  The people who spent weeks of their own time searching for survivors should not be there either.  But we have more than enough room for three asshat's that actually had NOTHING to do with any of it.  Obama, Bush, and Giuliani did absolutely nothing that day.  Everyone else did what they were trained to do, those three are just using the deaths of others for political gain.

Those three individuals do nothing but masturbate thinking about the abuse created by the TSA and DHS knowing it has been created and furthered by their hand.  They take no greater pleasure than that of destroying the rights of the law abiding, sexually abusing them, and intimidating them.

It should come as no surprise that given those three have such fine moral caliber, the first responders would not be invited to their private little circle jerk of tyranny.  Frankly, if I was a first responder, I would keep my ass home because nothing good could possibly come from aiding in their political power plays.

Thank you Barron for the commentary.

SSCC #59 & #60 - Raleigh N.C.

A man who was eating a taco at a Raleigh bus stop says a cop swept-kicked him to the ground, broke his leg and arrested him, then hauled him before a judge who sentenced him to 30 days in jail for contempt, because he could not stand on his broken leg.

This one has left me speechless.  Seriously, cop breaks the guys leg over a beer can that wasn’t his.  Then the judge gave him 30 days for contempt because he couldn’t stand on his broken leg.  What the FUCK!!!  All he was trying to do was eat his lunch while waiting for the bus. This cop was so bored he felt it necessary to physically assault him.  At no time did Artis use or threaten force against the officer, but the officer felt it necessary to initiate force against him.

State Sponsored Criminal Count: 60 (Raleigh PD Officer James Rollins*, and Magistrate Bostrom)

Because when an injury is caused by a cop acting unlawfully, you need to be punished for having said injury.  I mean how else will the judge feel superior?

*From now on if the names of the criminals can be found I’m going to post them either on the count line or earlier in the post.

A Nice Clean Beaver

Went over to the Man Shack yesterday to help run some wire.  On my way in I passed the KPUW tarmac and saw something that stuck out like a sore thumb.  A couple hours later we headed over so my buddy could show off his new toy, as well as ogle the out of place plane.

DHC2 Beaver - Amphibian

The owner showed up while we were looking at the plane, his passengers weren’t too interested in sitting around chatting about the plane.  The pilot though was obviously proud of his bird.  As well he should be.

DHC2 Beaver on Taxi

It worked out well because my buddies hanger was right next to the taxi way with a clear shot of the runway.

SSCC #58-Seattle PD

Two brothers allege in a lawsuit that they were falsely investigated as bank robbers because a Seattle police officer was upset about the way he had been treated at a popular longshoremen's bar that all three men frequented.

Basically this whole incident boils down to your standard guy gets dumped and seeks vendetta against the replacement.  Don’t believe me?

The suit alleges Waters developed a "malice and animus" toward Alan Jeffries shortly before the 2009 incident after Waters broke up with a bartender at the Chelan and saw Jeffries flirt with her. Waters became more jealous after he was excluded from a George Clinton concert attended by Jeffries, the bartender and others.

The officer [Waters] then arrests the two brothers on suspicion of bank robbery despite not matching the actual description.  All charges including the obstruction charge was dropped after the officer didn’t bother to show up at the court hearing.

Basically what’s going on is the PD that is oh so great at letting officers shoot peaceful people, also lets officers arrest people on trumped up charges.  Because why punish an officer for making false or fraudulent arrests?

State Sponsored Criminal Count: 58

Because when you’re a cop, no one flirts with your girl and gets away with it.  That’s why they run the jails right?

SSCC #56–Florida Highway Patrol

Campbell says he did what he always does: flashed his lights on and off to warn drivers coming from the other direction that there was speed trap ahead.

According to Campbell, 60 seconds after passing the trooper, "They were on my tail and they pulled me over."

Ends up the statue used to issue the citation doesn’t mention or reference the use of high beams.  What we do have is a police officer who thinks that warning others about his speed trap should be illegal.  He thinks that it should be illegal so badly that he is ticketing people for it illegally.

State Sponsored Criminal Count: 56

Because they think warning your fellow citizens about a speed trap should be illegal so they ticket you despite the law.

SSCC #57

Sean Jang, a 4-year veteran of the department, was arrested Thursday after a scuffle with his ex-girlfriend.

Jang is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and false imprisonment, according to court documents.

Probably the most telling thing about this article was how it started with a statement that indicated this isn’t the first officer that has had issues in this department.  To then ice the cake though, he is merely on administrative duties while the department investigates.

It’s so good to see our city governments take such good care of their employees.  It’s not every day in this economy you see criminals get such wonderful treatment despite their behavior.

State Sponsored Criminal Count: 57

Because if you’re the girlfriend of a cop, you’re job is to do what you’re told or it gets the hose again.

It Can’t Happen Here–Queens

Drama free, in the case of this party that meant gun free.  Yet, 11 people were shot, one of which was paralyzed from a bullet severing her spinal cord.  This has made it to the “It Can’t Happen Here” series by being a gun free, drama free zone.  All persons were searched before entering the party, yet a shooting still occurred.

Even more than that, how's this for icing:

"IDs were being checked and everybody was being searched through the front," he said. "So he [the shooter] probably came in, seen somebody he had issues with, went home and got his gun."

Yup all of those efforts worked out real well in the end didn't they?

Also note, this occurred in NY where guns are so very accessible. </sarcasm>
