Those of You in Arizona Stop Reading my Blog

Seriously.  It appears your state legislature feels that if my blog is offensive it has the right to criminally prosecute me.

The law, which is being pushed under the guise of an anti-bullying
campaign, would mean that anything communicated or published online
that was deemed to be “offensive” by the state, including editorials,
illustrations, and even satire could be criminally punished.

Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while will remember that Joe and I earned the title back in January of “Most Offensive” from your counterparts in the anti-rights society.

News flash to the idiots in the Arizona legislature.  Welcome to the internet, if you’re not offending someone you’re doing it wrong.  You cannot have principals or convictions without someone becoming upset because they disagree with you.

This law cannot be seen as anything but a blatant violation of the First Amendment.  Here’s an idea to those who are offended by why what other people write, stop reading it. Seriously this isn’t A Clockwork Orange where someone has your eyes pried open and is forcing you to view media.  If you dislike what someone wrote, write a rebuttal and I’m sure the person you directed it at will take some sort of offense at it.

So without further ado, here is a salty profane open letter the the Arizona State Legislature which I will not remove for any reason (click read more to read below the fold, again language warning).

Dear Arizona Legislators and Senators,

Fuck you and the horses you rode in on.  How dare you or any of your self serving minions deem what we as a free people can and cannot write.  I don’t give two flipping shits if you, any of your mentally retarded staff, or puritan constituents dislike me, my blog, or are offended by anything I have to say.  If they don’t like what I said or how I said it the solution is quite simple, stop fucking reading it you ignorant buffoon.

I and no other person am forcing you to read my blog or any other material which I or any other person has written.  Just as I am free to write and say what I think and feel, as guaranteed by the First Amendment, you are just as free to write a disagreement, stop reading, and move on to someplace else.

Why don’t you and your tyrannical bible(not just Christian) thumpers, because honestly it’s religious zealots (this includes those who believe socialism and Communism will solve the nations problems while ignoring the lessons of the 20th century) who support this type of legislation, climb down off your crosses, tear it down, and use the wood to build a bridge to get over yourselves.  It is unsurprising that a bunch of elected power hungry misanthropes would want to limit speech they find to be offensive or critical of them.  Especially given the fact that individuals who differentiate themselves from the “collective” are the first to get a bullet in the back of the neck in a mass grave. They are now needing a way to control those individuals and remove them from the collective. What is surprising though is for one reason or another your electorate is too stupid to see that you and your entire staff are in dire need of an application of tar and feathers.  Doubly surprising is these power hungry fools seem to think we wouldn’t notice or be concerned at their new legislation and its potential for misuse.

You and your cohorts are nothing more that a bunch of fucking check valves attempting to stifle free thought, free speech, and free opinion.  Every last one of you who voted to approve this legislation is not a human being but an animal wishing to dominate over their fellow man.  You feel your constituents are there to serve you and it is not your role to serve them.  Those of you who voted against it though you said no, you obviously didn’t do enough.  For you should have shamed every last individual willing to vote for or abstain on the vote.  You should have offended and shamed them both to prove why what they were doing is wrong by pointing out the fact they’re outlawing dissent and differing opinion.  Lastly every last one of you who abstained in that vote is nothing more than a yellow bellied coward that supported those animals but didn’t have enough of a spine to actually stand up and admit it.

Lastly I am grossly offended by this piece of legislation.  You read that right, your legislation offends me, as it is nothing but an effort to stifle the rights of a free people.  As such I expect should Jan Brewer prove herself to be a power hungry bitch instead of a good person who respects the rights of free people, you shall promptly turn yourselves into your local police departments for prosecution under you new statue.  I’m not sure exactly how that would work under Ex Post Facto, but I’m sure we can work something out.

I suggest you and your shit-hook compatriots just go and leave us the hell alone, if not I’m sure this will not be the only public letter of this nature.  It’s not our fault that you’re all a bunch of lazy dough-assed morons who can’t seem to understand that offending people comes with the territory of having an opinion and having the ability to think for yourself.  If you do understand that then your are some of the most evil people in the world and I’m sure you would be the first to demand that the free thinkers be sent to the gas chambers.

So, in closing.  Fuck you, fuck your family, fuck any of your supporters, and lastly fuck anyone offended by this post.  Because by god if you’re offended by what I wrote, you’re not my friend, you’re my enemy.  Frankly if I’ve offended someone one and they’re my enemy, I take that as a good thing, it means I stood for something in my life.

Sincerely,

TMM

Interesting, I didn’t make that nearly as much of a straight profanity laced rant I thought it was going to be.

Accountabilibuddyable: Wisconsin 12/09/2011

Remember the cop who thought that holsters were stupid and unnecessary and did an ND into the ground at the mall?  If you don’t, well you should for no other reason that the chief attempted to claim the officer did nothing wrong.

Well I stumbled across this one today.

Sgt. Michael Edwards was charged Thursday with endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported online court records show Edwards pleaded not guilty.

According to the complaint, Edwards was at a pretzel shop at Southridge Mall in Greendale on Nov. 2 when he reached into his back pocket for his wallet. The complaint said Edwards’ gun slid out of his waistband and went off. A woman standing nearby suffered a welt on her leg.

That man is unbelievably lucky that no one was hit or otherwise severely injured.  I find this charge fitting considering his negligence in this instance. His department has placed him on administrative duty.

I say leave his ass behind a desk permanently without a weapon.  He has shown a lack of care towards the carrying and use of a firearm and he needs to prove he no longer has the mental capacity of a fly and takes carrying such a tool seriously.

This is also a prime time to remind everyone about Rule 5 given the gun slipped out of his waist band and it shot into the ground.

Greendale police say the officer was lucky, and say they’re glad no one was injured. They say the bullet was fired directly into the ground, and disintegrated once it hit the marble floor.

Say it with me now, “Don’t try and catch a gun!

Why Giving Them What they Want is a Bad Idea

They come back for more later.

After the robbery, Jardini called the woman on his cell phone twice, asking her if she had a boyfriend and if she wanted to go out with him.

Police got a search warrant for Jardini’s phone records and were on the verge of tracking him down, but then Jardini reportedly assaulted the same girl and her mother outside Zack’s Market on Brownville Road.

Depending on what you have in your wallet or purse you’re in serious trouble once you hand it over to a robber.  At minimum they now have your home address so they can come hit you again.  They know that you’re complacent and will just give them what they want right?  Women, if you have your keys in your purse they now can enter your house that night, are you going to get your locks changed before going home that night?  The amount of evil that can be done by just merely capturing that information is unbelievable.

I could continue playing the red team, but you would all call my a mean evil sadistic son of a bitch.  Just because I think of it, doesn’t mean I’d do it.  It just means that when that guy asks me for my wallet he’s not going to get it, he’s getting hot lead.  If he asks for my phone, he’s not getting it, he’s getting hot lead.  Information can be used not just against you, but those you love.  Remember it as if your lives depend on it, because it just might.

His Mistake, Didn’t Apply for a Job First

This one isn’t a state sponsored criminal but it’s another example how A Security Theater aids criminals and theifs, even if they’re not employed by the state.

Florida police arrested a man Friday for allegedly stealing a Rolex watch from a TSA bin at an airport security checkpoint.

I do love how they refer to the thief as “brazen”.  The thing is this falls under my “King Shit” rule.  If you act like a king shit, like that is your property or are allowed to be there, no one is going to question it.  There is nothing tying TSA bin A to passenger A.  If the bin gets ahead of the passenger, more specifically if the TSA stalls the passenger, it makes his belongings available for picking.

It’s this falsehood of security that allows thieves like this as well as the TSA to get away with these types of crimes.

For more on the “king shit” rule*, watch this.

*I first coined the term in 1999 while following my dad into the ER to check on the status of a friend who fell and broke her hip.  We didn’t walk in through the main door and no one stopped us even though I was only 15 at the time.  My dad just said to follow him and don’t look lost.

The Plot Thickens – Unpossible I Tell You!

So last Friday I made a post regarding an incident of an unpossible nature.  Well today the plot thickened!

A man was arrested Thursday morning in Pullman for assault in the first degree and unlawful possession of a firearm.

For those who aren’t aware, here is the beginning of RCW 9.41.040:

(1)(a) A person, whether an adult or juvenile, is guilty of the crime of unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree, if the person owns, has in his or her possession, or has in his or her control any firearm after having previously been convicted or found not guilty by reason of insanity in this state or elsewhere of any serious offense as defined in this chapter.

It continues on this way throughout the entire law.  This is basically the state equivalent of “felon in possession” and would be listed as prohibited by the state of Washington.

So it begs the question where did he get the weapon?  Not that it really matters because it is yet another nail in the coffin of “laws controlling criminals.”  The fact is criminals don’t care about the law, it is only the law abiding that actually pay attention.

So here’s the skinny, we have a college bar, next to a college campus that forbids concealed carry.  When I say next to, we’re talking a block from the WSU Presidents house, 2 blocks from the WSU Campus Police station and the main bust stop for campus, 2 blocks from numerous on campus dorms, and centered smack dab in the middle of Greek housing.  The state forbids carrying firearms into bars, as well as being intoxicated while carrying a weapon.  Lastly this individual was a prohibited person under Washington State law.

Tell me, what in the name of god would another law have actually done in this instance?  All those laws have effectively done is ensure that any responsible person that would be in that area would be disarmed and lacking the most effective tools when criminals don’t bother to play by the rules.

That’s right, not a damn thing.

(Misc Rant/Story/Joke)

As an FYI, that area on campus is by no means my favorite.  I had friends that went to many of the bars in the area but for the most part I just went to friends places when they had parties.  The reason being is because one should avoid dangerous situations and those bars are exactly that.  When I spent some time with Pullman PD and did a couple ride-alongs I found out how bad that little part of campus really is.  There are numerous people who hang around the area to prey upon people leaving the bars.  Now I’m going to leave the user to apply the term prey how they would like because it applies to both genders.  Assault is the main issue, but other incidents abound as well.

About the only way I’d go in those dives is with a bunch of buddies from back in the unit, mainly two particular Sergeants come to mind.  One of whom is the only man that has ever really intimidated me.  That man made our Gunny look like a baby and that’s just not right!  The other one got kicked out of Burma while he was a Embassy Guard.  Yeah, I had some awesome friends going through my college career.

Though me and some other friends did think it would be funny to come out of some of the college hill bars acting drunk and kick their ass.  We just realized it would be pretty hard to explain it all away after.

Cop: So why were you all at the bar?

Us: Because the food is that awesome!

Cop: This is a campus bar, wanna try that again?

Because: We were studying human physiology?

Cop: You’re all stone sober yet everyone said it looked as if you were drunk as you all left?  They also said you left one by one headed in the same direction with regular spacing, why?

Us: Well we wanted to blend in!

Cop: Why?

Us: Umm, would you believe us if we said so you’d follow us instead of our drunk buddies driving away?

Cop:Wanna try again?  Besides, you were all armed in different manners as to remain legal, why?

Us: Because we were playing a game!

Cop: And what game is that?

Us: Induced Victim Selection Failure

Cop: What the hell is that?

Us: It’s where you try and get a wolf to go after a sheep-dog thinking it’s a sheep.

Cop: What happens to the wolf when he bites?

Us: Well that’s his own damn fault, should have just stayed his ass out of the kitchen if he can’t take the heat!  All he had to do was let us walk on by!

Yeah, I don’t think I would have been able to stay out of a jail cell if we tried that.  I have a feeling it would be treated as hunting over bait.  Not to say it wouldn’t have been worth it.*

*As an extra note, these assaults were done predominately by 3 to 4 individuals with one person leading the attack.  As one group leaves Pullman another one usually fills its place.  Seriously the group could be considered along the misfits from A Clockwork Orange and for that reason if we did it, I wouldn’t have shed a tear.  Again, that wouldn’t have been good for my court appearance.

Starbucks Appreciation Day (Starbucks Buycott)

So today was Starbucks appreciation day, however my visit to the coffee house was delayed by the wife’s 12 hour shift.

So initially I planned on buying myself some coffee and at the same time buying a bunch of Via to send overseas.  There’s an old adage that was drilled into my head by my dad growing up, “No Plan Survives First Contact With the Enemy.”  They didn’t have the big packs of Via at this Starbucks.  The wife is going to check Safeway tomorrow after her shift and if that fails I’ll be picking it up at Costco or ordering it online.  My current receipt is small but will be growing considerably once I get my hands on the Via or order it.

IMAG0082

Now, me being the guy that I am, and the fact it was snowing outside I decided I didn’t need my coat.  Walked right past the campus police officer open carrying as he walked out with his coffee.  As I’ve said before, no one cares!

IMAG0083

The wife on the other hand remained much more discreet being that’s she’s so cold blooded (I’m so going on the couch for that, but it’s true, she’d freeze without me).

IMAG0084

So we’re sitting at the table, across from where everyone has to pick up their coffee, both guns plainly visible.  What does the barista say?  Not what any of the bigots would have you think, and I quote, “Oh you guys are so cute!”  Yeah, explain that one!  We also asked the barista how business was today.  She didn’t work this morning but she said business this evening was not below average but not high either.

I did also get an email from LC Scotty this morning.

I know A Girl and Her Gun also has a package enroute to me.   All of this coffee is going to be headed overseas.  So not only did we support Starbucks, but sending out a taste of home.  All the gun grabbers were living in complete denial.  How am I so sure it’s denial, here’s pictures and comments from a fellow blogger who’s just too “lazy(little kids are a pain)” to blog anymore.  She just runs on the Facebook now.  Seems she went and got 60 bucks worth of Starbucks herself plus an extra 50 from her current job specifically as part of the buycott!

image

Tweet space was quite alive today with the boycott and buycott traffic.  Most interesting was the total meltdown that began to happen from the group that organized it and the Brady Campaign continued with their existence in the first stage of grief.  Note all the definite numbers provided above, plus Joe wasn’t a slouch either.  Just from what’s listed there in three people and the company is approximately $315 in business. Remember the Facebook group had almost 25000.   To put it in further perspective, at 10 dollars per person that’s a quarter million dollars in sales for Starbucks.

Here’s a list of other bloggers who participated.

Lastly we have a post from Thirdpower.   For an intro, read this, followed by this, and then lastly read this.

That’s right, Thirdpower’s Starbucks today was financed by the people who arranged the boycott.  Talk about a way to flip the bird and rub salt in the wound.

So lets do a quick recap:

In January they organize a candle light vigil which we turned on its head and they became quite irritated over.  In February they attempt to organize a boycott and do nothing but show Starbucks why it’s financially beneficial to remain politically neutral.  It is bad business to discriminate or ostracize a group of customers because they want to exercise their legal rights.  Where’s the proof it’s good business to stay neutral I hear you ask?  The benefit is to the tune of what will probably be at least a quarter million in extra sales if those Facebook numbers can be believed and we figure approximately 10 dollars per person.  I consider it a pretty conservative estimate as well because I know plenty of people who also went today who weren’t on Facebook either.  Impressive isn’t it?  Not only that, but then some of us are buying coffee to then turn around and send overseas for those who couldn’t participate?  What pictures and events did the boycott organizers do today to show their support and how successful they are?  Oh that’s right they have a blank Facebook page that none of us can see.  I’ve got pictures of me to show Starbucks thank you.  They have pictures of nothing and the majority of their protestors didn’t patronize Starbucks to begin with anyway

Also Weer’d did a post tonight that caused me to have an epiphany type moment.  The boycott was organized on Valentine’s day, so in the event that there wasn’t a decrease in sales they had an automatic rationalization for an out.  Instead of seeing the lack of support they could blame it on couples going on a date filling in the gap.  Why else would they set it on a holiday where Starbucks would already be seeing an increase in business?

Let them continue to wallow in denial. CSGV, at least Ladd anyway, has moved on to anger.  There will be no bargaining for any of them when they arrive.  They can be depressed for as long as they like, but eventually they will reach acceptance.  They lost and they will be relegated to the dustbin of history.  While we must continue pounding on them, lest we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, we have the high ground currently.  We need to do as much as we can to continue their progression of grief.

TSA Employees…

They’re not hired because they’re bright, intelligent, or honest.

TSA air marshal Adam Marshall was arrested by the Boston police department at 3:50 a.m. on Dec. 10 after he allegedly argued with members of Occupy, called some of them prostitutes, struck one of Occupy’s organizers and main tweeters in the face, grabbed her iPhone and then fled.

You know, I dislike the Occupy movement more than just about anyone.  That said, I’m not going to support anyone who goes in there, assaults people, and steals private property, even if I dislike the victim group.

He did it because, “I’m a TSA agent and work for the DHS, I’m invincible.”  Yeah, the TSA better fire his ass, and they better prosecute him to the full extent of the law.  If not I’m moving this one to the count.

*I do find it funny that all these people who bitch about how poor they are have 600 dollar phones with expensive service plans.

**It’s not in the count because he wasn’t on duty and currently he does not appear to be benefiting from his job.

Accountabilibuddyable: Louisville KY

One should always try to end the year on a high note, so I was pleased as punch when I saw this come across my twitter feed.

A Louisville man has reached a $750,000 settlement with a former police officer who twice arrested him on domestic violence charges but failed to disclose a romantic relationship with the alleged victim.

So cop was sleeping with a mans wife and arrested the husband on domestic violence numerous times.  It is worth noting that the husband plead guilty to the first incident while prosecutors then dropped the second incident after discovering the relationship.  I don’t know the details on the plea so it is very well possible that they were going after him for something quite bad and he took the plea in fear.  For those who don’t think that happens the way it works is prosecutors will often fire well beyond what they can effectively prove in the hopes of getting a plea agreement.

I’m glad to see that it appears the officer in question is liable for the settlement, though he has moved to a new town and it is quite possible he is still a law enforcement officer since he resigned instead of being fired.

Michael Delbert Bonzo is being (mostly) held Accountabilibuddyable.  More like this please.

Because if you see a chick you like and she’s married, arrest the husband on domestic violence charges.  That way you can get some one on one time with her.
