Saturday ended up considerably busier than expected.  Initially I had just planned to help with the ARES exercise, but it ended up they were making a trip up to the Kamiak radio site.  I went along to help since I hadn’t seen the radio site.

That’s the tower with the KABARA Repeater Antennas, as well as the packet system we were up there to work on.  Next to it is that tower is KWSU.

Inside the radio shack was some impressive equipment for the KABARA system, more specifically a pair of duplexers for the 6-meter repeater.

After a quick tour we then got down to why were were there.  Someone was going to have to climb the tower for recon for an upcoming antenna installation.

He wanted proof that he climbed the tower.  I have other pictures while he was at the top, none however provide proof that it was actually him climbing.

It appears the recon was successful, the hardline we were planning on using is currently at the location where we are planning on installing the antenna.  We just need to coordinate with some of the other antennas owners when we go to actually install it.

The antenna is going to be hooked into this.

Which is the packet node on top of Kamiak, the recon was because the owner is planning on adding a 70cm link if I remember correctly.  It was pointed out to me though how wind can be a royal bitch up on the tower.

The wind was light that day, the antenna is either caught in the tower, or permanently deformed from wind and ice loading.  That particular antenna however was no longer in use.

After that we headed back down the hill with one quick stop right after we got out of the trees so I could do this today.

After that K7LL helped me test an mobile amp I have.  It works, but nowhere near as effective as it should be.  It is now sitting on my workbench awaiting disassembly.  An upshot a coworker and fellow ham drove by and I paid him a visit.  I must say his ham shack is by no means a shack, and is actually quite nice.  He actually had a spare 2m/70cm base and it’s now sitting on my desk.  He also has a spare HF rig but it needs some repair work.  Electrolytic capacitors don’t last for ever.

From there I went and picked up a sign for the lodge.  The sign was vandalized and I picked it up to take it home to attempt to clean it.  Attempt one removed some of the paint but next on the list is acetone.  From there I headed over the Moscow to W7UQ to kill some time before going over to a friends house for dinner and helping him with some homework.

While sitting at W7UQ one of the members showed up and I then preceded to spend the next 2 hours discussing antenna design, radiation patterns, and methods to solve some issues they are having with their current project.  Including moving from just telemetry based information to adding command and control.  I gave him my contact information so they can come to me with questions and help with the project.

Lastly I had dinner over with some friends.  I finally headed out from their place at 0130 after helping him with a programming assignment.  Overall it was a busy, educational, and productive day.

Here’s one giant bag of unpossible given these are anointed individuals.

Three police officers were arrested on charges of interfering with a police officer, and two of them were charged with unlawfully discharging their guns.

The arrests followed an investigation into a claim that one or more off-duty officers illegally fired guns early Sunday outside a bar. No injuries were reported.

Don’t worry though.  I’m sure even with their gross negligence they will continue to be paid by the taxpayers during the investigation.  Even if they do find something though, don’t fret because I’m sure the punishment will be more training.  Never mind the fact that something ad dumb as this qualifies under the “You Can’t Fix Stupid” clause.

Honestly I don’t weep or feel sorry for the kids involved in this:

A boy, who was a passenger in the carjacked vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other three juvenile occupants in the vehicle were apprehended at the scene by Irvington officers.  They were a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old and a 17-year old.

Except it goes from bad to all around unpossible.

Police say they found a weapon in the carjacked vehicle.

Underage minors can’t legally have a firearm.  Carjacking is against the law as well.  So is threatening someone with a weapon.  Why didn’t the law stop them?

It’s almost as if the law is merely a tool to punish bad behavior.  Nah, that couldn’t be it because the anti-rights cultists keep insisting laws help prevent and stop violence.  Never mind the fact they merely provide a method of punishment.

Bummer for the car owner that probably now has a totaled Jaguar.  It’s a good thing that NYC is so restrictive on their distribution of Concealed Pistol Licenses as well.  That car owner could have effectively defended his life and property from those kids wielding an illegal weapon.  It’s a good thing someone else made the decision for that car owner to disarm him.*

*If you can’t tell, I’m being  sarcastic the fact is it is not the states job or role to tell be how they should be defending themselves and their property.  The state carries no liability when you’re shot by a carjacker so what right do they have to sit in the back and force you to be shot?

This one is another giant bag of unpossible given the high caliber screening processes in place for the hiring process of their employees.  Well here in the real world we know better than to trust statements like that.

A Transportation Security Administration agent was arrested this week on
federal charges for her role in an alleged phony marriage scheme that
sought to secure U.S. citizenship for her purported spouse, a Lebanon
native.

The federal criminal complaint does not detail Taha’s alleged motive for
taking part in the sham February 2002 marriage (or whether she was paid
in return for the marriage vows). Taha, charged with conspiracy and
making false statements, has worked as a TSA agent at the Detroit
airport since late-2002.

So in other words she was helping bring people into the country by marrying them.  She dated other agents while supposedly being married, and even fathered a child with said TSA agents.

This is completely unsurprising, but never the less how did it escape their crack team of investigators?

Because your job as a federal agent is to break the law, just ask the ATF or DEA.

The attorney representing a former San Marcos policeman tells KVUE News that he is “outraged” that a grand jury indicted his client on a charge of deadly conduct following an incident on a county road last November.

It’s another example of unpossible since these are anointed individuals and properly trained. They would never fire indiscriminately during a road rage incident.  Except that’s exactly what happened here.

The attorney says Dan watched as the occupants of the vehicle tossed “beer cans or bottles” out of their vehicle. His attorney said at one point the SUV turned around at a dead end, and fearing for his life, Dan fired three shots at the vehicle’s tires, apparently missing the SUV. At that time Kathy Misiaszek arrived and in an attempt to stop the SUV, crashed into it.

Here’s an idea.  Since you’re in a private vehicle you leave it to those currently in uniform.  Not only that, but don’t pursue them into box and then use the fact they had to turn around to leave and an excuse of why you feared for your life.  You were in a vehicle, stay in it.  There’s a lot of questionable stuff it in, but the fact is they weren’t in uniform and should have waited for someone in uniform.  Instead they willfully escalated the situation knowing they could rely on qualified immunity.

They’re back, this time with an interesting incident.

A TSA screener was arrested at JFK Airport for hurling a cup of hot
coffee at an American Airlines pilot who told her and some colleagues to
tone down a profanity- laced conversation in a terminal, sources said
yesterday.

From the description the conversation was anything but professional.  The pilot requested that they stop it, since they were in uniform and thus representative of their employer.  The agent was less that polite and when he attempted to grab her badge to get her name she responded with a face full of hot coffee.

This is completely unpossible though given the high caliber individuals the TSA hires for their character and high degree of professionalism.

The pilot didn’t escape this mess either though.

Trivett was not seriously injured. El, of Brooklyn’s East New York, was
given a desk-appearance ticket on harassment and misdemeanor-assault
charges.

Let that be a lesson to just let TSA agents do whatever the hell they want.

Peaks Jr. admitted he bribed a TSA agent, Dianna Perez, to let his
suitcase go through security screening for an American Airlines flight.
He and Perez also said that they had worked together before and that
several thousands of dollars had exchanged hands.

Don’t worry though folks because Peaks is not exactly hard off.

The son of Los Angeles’ former fire chief, Millage Peaks, has been
arrested for allegedly bribing a TSA agent to help him smuggle marijuana
on board a flight.

I guess all that public funding headed to his dad’s bank account wasn’t enough to keep this kid from becoming a gutter-ball. Given the exorbitant pay and benefits provided to public employee’s it’s hard for me to believe this kid had a “Hard Knock Life.”  Now back to the real crook.

Remember kiddos you’re being disarmed and sexually assaulted so that others can bribe their contraband through the security check point.  Remember thought the TSA’s screening procedure for new hires is so difficult, corruption like this is unpossible.

Miami Beach police say two Transportation Security Administration officers partied a little too hard Tuesday night, trashed their South Beach hotel room and then picked up a semi-automatic handgun and shot six rounds out the window.

Look at this, we have a story that obviously must be fake given the total amount of unpossible required given the arguments of the anti-rights cultists about our “anointed betters”.  Thankfully no one was injured because it could have just as easily gone the other way with the reckless behavior.

One bullet pierced a $1,500 hurricane impact resistant window at a nearby Barneys New York, penetrated a wall and tore into some jeans in the closed store’s stockroom, according to store manager Adelchi Mancusi.

Thankfully it was late and the store was closed.  Even then though it’s also a good thing that no one was working late.   As expected the TSA is reviewing the situation to take “appropriate action”.

“TSA holds its employees to the highest professional and ethical standards,” Allen wrote. “We will review the facts and take appropriate action as necessary.”

They will most likely be promoted to management as soon as their charges are plead down to the point to be insignificant.  We can’t have our anointed TSA brown shirts looking bad even if they’re not on duty.
