Freedom of Speech and the Right to Arms…

I am morally aligned with the following quote from John Adams:

If men through fear, fraud or mistake, should in terms renounce and give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the great end of society, would absolutely vacate such renunciation; the right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of Man to alienate this gift, and voluntarily become a slave.

I also consider the right to self-defense and with it the right to keep and bear arms an essential natural right.  It is for that reason I am hosting the Defense Distributed file pack (by clicking this link you certify that you are a US Citizen within the United States under penalty of perjury) here(Upon advice from good friends, this has been removed, just see this quote for details.) (warning almost 500MB).  For details on why only US citizens may download these files, please see this post.

Many people seem to be lost on the real meaning of the Liberator Pistol.

That pistol is not meant to be a replacement for your standard side-arm.  I honestly don’t see 3d printing replacing standard firearms production.  The point of the Liberator is allow those to arm themselves that would otherwise be rendered defenseless by their government.  It is not designed to be used repeatedly over and over, it’s use is designed much the same as this pistol.

300px-M1942_liberatorYou have one shot.  It is not to be used at a far distance.  It is designed as a last-ditch when you have no other alternative.  One shot you think may not be effective, but that man you just killed sent by the state who was trying to kill you, he has a gun too right?  One much more effective than the one you just used.

The point of the Defense Distributed’s pistol is to at least give a tool to help better even the odds for the person being abused by the state and prevented from defending themselves.  It is not a magic talisman, it is merely a tool.  A tool which can help level the playing field and give a disarmed people a fighting chance to save themselves.

There’s a reason our federal tyrants are so afraid of something like this.  It guarantees that no matter what they do, the people will always have access to some sort of arm.

I will maintain that link and create alternate servers if necessary to do so.  It is a natural right of the people to be armed for their own defense.  Any person who opposes that right is not my friend, but my enemy wishing for my enslavement or death and I will fight back. As Linoge said, “You Can’t Stop the Signal.

Quote of the Day – Tim (4/30/2013)

“With a terrorist on the loose and literally thousands of police and even military officials searching to no avail, suddenly the idea of having an AR-15 handy to keep a dangerous terrorist from conducting his grand finale in *your* house with *your* loved ones starts to make a hell of a lot of sense, don’t it?”

Tim – The Idiocy of “Outdated”

April 25th, 2013

[Despite the complete trampling of civil liberties, was it a LEO who found the fugitive?  Was it in an area where citizens could easily and readily obtain arms for their own defense?

Tell me, why is it that people grabbed cameras instead of shooting the assailants who were threatening their neighborhood.  Oh calling the police worked great all right, turned the neighborhood into a total war zone and endangered the lives of additional people.  Instead of fighting back to defend themselves and in so doing aiding law enforcement that was risking their lives to protect them, they grabbed a camera.

They grabbed a camera instead of firing one round and taking down the last assailant.  Instead of firing from an elevated position with a clear line of fire to the aggressors, they grabbed a camera.  They grabbed a camera and instead gave the government an excuse to abuse their neighbors and friends at gun point.  They grabbed a camera instead of taking the risk that goes with freedom and liberty.  They grabbed a camera and signed their name as a supporting participant in the death of American Liberty. -B]

The Company I Keep…

I am very glad I can call Mike Jefferson my friend.  Why might you ask?  Well watch this.

I kind of have to laugh though.  I met Jefferson actually through his previous wife who is a fellow blogger though now she doesn’t really blog.  As he said over at his place and is worthy of note here, he gave this speech the same day as our government was doing this.

I hate to say it, but I’m getting an early 90’s vibe again about the governments use of force against its people.  Only this time we have a bunch of people cheering and talking about how they’d appreciate a warrant-less cavity search.  In the words of Samuel Adams,

“If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

The republic is in the most dire of straights friends.  Even those who we thought were friends of liberty have now betrayed us.  I don’t know how this ends, but usually I’m pretty good at staying in the middle and seeing both the dark and the light.  Currently the light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished and there is no telling if it will ever be found again.

SSCC Boston PD

Do I really need to go into the details on this one?

State Sponsored Criminal: The Boston PD

Because the 4th amendment is suspended along with responsible firearms handling when you’re a cop.

Quote of the Day–Kevin Baker (3/20/2013)

When dealing with the State, the citizen acts at his peril.

Kevin Baker“When dealing with guns, the citizen acts at his peril.”

March 20, 2013

[And as Kevin points out, that’s not how it is supposed to be.  I find this a much more applicable description.

I should not be fearful that someone is calling the state because I took a picture of my child with a firearm.  I should not be afraid that the state is going to come kick down my door because someone provides some false information for the “war on drugs”.  We are living in a police state.

I have an idea for a post but I’m just not sure how to write it or string the thought out completely.  The premise though is the meaning of the law is becoming worthless.  More and more laws are being created, laws the creators admit are unenforceable.  This leaves two different options:

  • The law no longer really matters and is nothing more than an empty symbol.
  • The law now exists as a tool to manipulate, scare, and intimidate those they deem undesirable.

Tell me, what good do these new gun control laws do?  How does that actually benefit society, especially given they admit it will not make a difference and innocents will be caught in the crossfire?  The actual effects will cause people to choose between being safe or committing a felony.

But that’s their goal, scare and intimidate law-abiding people into giving up their rights.  Cause them to have to be unsafe to adhere to the asinine laws.  I’m of the opinion if the law has degenerated to the point that it is criminalizing the free exercise of a right, that it’s sole action is to criminalize the innocent, I might as well just accept the fact they want to treat me as a criminal.  If that’s the case and I’m going to be punished for owning something or doing something that doesn’t affect anyone else, maybe I should actually do something worthy of being called a criminal.  If I’m going to be given a penalty anyway, why not actually do something to earn it?*

The law is loosing its worth and these people are rejoicing at it’s destruction.  They don’t seem to understand it’s perversion is being done in such a way so the state can consume them just the same as it consumes us. –B]

*I am not saying one should currently, but certainly this does factor into the tripwire question.

SSCC #533 – New Orleans

“We were just sitting there laughing and out of nowhere, I saw two guys grab Ferd,” says Newman.

“All of a sudden, I’m on the wall. A whole bunch of people just came up and threw me up against the wall,” says Hunt.

Those people were plain clothes law enforcement officers, nine of them State Troopers and one NOPD officer.  The two young men were taken down to the ground.

The officers made a mistake with their choice of victims.  Their mother, who had just gone to get them something to eat was a uniformed officer.

I don’t trust NOPD at all.

State Sponsored Criminal #533: John Doe

Because when you’re a cop you can assault whoever the hell  you want and get away with it.  If it ends up being another cops kid, just claim they were interfering with the “investigation”.

SSCC #529 – Frederick County

Disturbing barely begins to describe this incident.

Bailey says he died after resisting arrest by three deputies at a Frederick movie theater. An employee had called police because Saylor wouldn’t leave his seat after a movie.

Bailey says Saylor cursed at the deputies. She says he became medically distressed while they were escorting him in handcuffs from the theater.

The victim in question had down syndrome.  Instead of using their brains, they immediately resorted to force and killed a mentally disabled man, in this case over the price of a movie ticket.

Have no fear though folks because this is how the department is handling the situation.

Meanwhile, all three deputies remain on regular duty.

I’m reminded of this particular incident out of Spokane.  Not to mention this incident where  police assaulted a mentally handicapped boy while ignoring the statements of both the parents and neighbors.

Here comes the problem.  At what point should you intervene if you see something like this happening?  Many would say, “Not my problem” and you’re inviting a legal battle against you, but at the same time we should work to protect the weakest in society, especially from the current thugs that seem to take pleasure and joy in killing them for sport with government protection.*  That’s why they’re working so hard to kill their hesitation right?  With officers like these fine people here not to mention others like this, it’s no wonder the State of Maryland is fighting so hard to keep it’s citizens from actually being able to get concealed weapons permits.

State Sponsored Criminal #529: The Frederick County Police Department

Because by all means use force in such a manner as to cause the death of someone over a nothing more than a movie ticket.

*If they weren’t taking pleasure and joy in it, they would be in jail awaiting trial at a minimum of manslaughter if not murder.  Not to mention they would be permanently fired from their jobs.

I see a business opportunity…

So it appears that the powers that be think that it is necessary to train with the following types of targets:

LET-1LET-5LET-7LET-6

Sadly this type of crap isn’t a joke and it’s down right real.

I just had an epiphany though.  Someone needs to make some Jack-Booted Thug targets.  Not just jack-booted thug targets but also some generic corrupt police officer targets.  Targets such as:

urlimgres

We can keep moving forward though.

urlurl

The state keeps working on increasing the rift between us and them.  They apparently feel the need to train to shoot pregnant women and children, so why not train for the reality that you may need to shoot a corrupt police officer that has no problems with killing you.  Doubly so since he will be protected by “qualified immunity”.

Remember how often they use force when it’s unnecessary.  Just look at the recent incident with the LAPD.  Why are they training to be more willing to use force against the weakest in society?  If they seem to think that everyone under the sun is their enemy, why should we think that any of them could still possibly be friendly?

If they’re going to train to kill us all and let god sort it out, why aren’t we doing the same?**

h/t Kevin Baker.

**Note I’m not condoning violence against police officers, but they sure are condoning violence against us.
