Jack Booted Thugs

QoTD – 9 August 2010 – John Galt
The only proper functions of a government are: the police, to protect you from criminals; the army, to protect you from foreign invaders; and the courts, to protect your property and contracts from breach or fraud by others, to settle disputes by rational rules, according to objective law. But a government that initiates the employment of force against men who had forced no one, the employment of armed compulsion against disarmed victims, is a nightmare infernal machine designed to annihilate morality: such a government reverses its only moral purpose and switches from the role of protector to the role of man's deadliest enemy, from the role of policeman to the role of a criminal vested with the right to the wielding of violence against victims deprived of the right of self-defense. Such a government substitutes morality for the following rule of social conduct: you may do whatever you please to your neighbor, provided your gang is bigger than his. ~Said by John Galt of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
This is something that is already coming to pass. The government is well on its way.

To Protect and Serve?
Warning, the video is long but well worth the watch.
The quick and dirty synopsis though is that an individual was shooting on the back of his property. A neighbor heard the shots and called the police. The officers responding over reacted, and proceeded to perform an illegal search of his house as well as locked containers within the house. After nothing was really found, they made up excuses for searching the premises and stretched for reasons for the arrest. They also confiscated his firearms. All the charges were dropped, however the sheriff's office has returned all but 4 firearms. What is most interesting though is that those four firearms were mentioned by officers as wanting to keep for their own.

Keep Your Booger Finger off the Trigger
See what happens when you give cops a non-lethal weapon. They pull it when it's completely unnecessary and then accidently discharge it into the man's groin. Frankly, I think that officer should have the favor returned, especially since it was all over a supposed lack of insurance.

Can’t get much more Jack-Booted than this
I stumbled across an article today detailing how an 86 year old disabled woman was abused and Tasered by her local police department. Personally I think each of those officers should be castrated and keelhauled. This behavior is completely disgraceful and just goes to further show how out of control government agents are. That TSA story is not the first story I have heard of incidents like that. My father-in-law is a below the knee amputee and has similar stories.
They have absolutely no respect because there is no accountability. They are protected and shielded from their abuses. If someone attempts to protect themselves from the abuse they further use their power to disrupt their life until their objective is achieved. I would like to note, they appear to overstep their bounds when victims are least likely to be able to properly defend themselves.
If they physically abuse someone who was having a possible medical emergency where does it stop?

But I thought the police never botch raids?
Thanks to Allen over at SnarkyBytes I discovered this little jewel.
I have been screaming for a long time that No-Knock warrants need to disappear. The blue flags don't anger me unlike the rest of them. I consider the blue flags karma. It's the red, grey, and black why they should be ceased IMMEDIATELY.

Awesome Search String, it made my day
I have to say, that this is the most awesome search string I have seen yet! Even more amazing is it's from Califoniastan!
Whoever this is, please note, you put one hell of a smile on my face. Have a wonderful day.

This is extremely WRONG
What many Americans don’t realize, is that census workers — from the head of the Bureau and the Secretary of Commerce (its parent agency) down to the lowliest and newest Census employee — are empowered under federal law to actually demand access to any apartment or any other type of home or room that is rented out, in order to count persons in the abode and for “the collection of statistics.” If the landlord of such apartment or other leased premises refuses to grant the government worker access to your living quarters, whether you are present or not, the landlord can be fined $500.00.
What I find interesting is there's a couple problems here. In Washington at least the Landlord Tenant act says the landlord may not enter the premises without 48 hours advanced notification. Further the census website says the following:
Note that the census taker will never ask to enter your home

Brown Shirts Anyone?
They had a police escort for this? If that doesn't show how corrupt the system is, you are obviously blinder than a bat! Anyone who thinks this is acceptable, proper, or legal behavior, I suggest a serious check of your moral values. The local police refused to help due to fear of inciting a riot, plus they had the backup of out of jurisdiction thugs in uniform. May the organizers start randomly disappearing. This is the definition of terrorism, they are using terror to intimidate and get their way.
My favorite thing though is that the victim was a lifelong democrat. There's a reason I'm using was, who would want to remain associated or supportive of the liberal thugs after doing that to your 14 year old son?

This should not be happening
Yet it is. The 2010 Census is currently ongoing with workers now going door to door.
There are about 635,000 U.S. Census workers currently going door to door counting Americans who did not return their surveys.
One thing many people did not expect was a lack of screening and fingerprinting for potential Census Workers. One Census Worker managed to get hired using an alias despite being a registered sex offender.

So, the police are lying about the raid
Apparently there was a TV crew along for the raid Sunday night that cost a 7 year old girl her life. It has now come out that the account of the struggle with the woman is not accurate.
"There is no question about what happened because it's in the videotape," Fieger said. "It's not an accident. It's not a mistake. There was no altercation."
"Aiyana Jones was shot from outside on the porch. The videotape shows clearly the officer throwing through the window a stun grenade-type explosive and then within milliseconds of throwing that, firing a shot from outside the home," he said.
Any shooter will tell you that you always verify your target and what is beyond it! This man fired blindly into a house, and look what happened as a result. If I discharged my firearm in defense of myself and hit someone behind a wall my ass is in deep crap. Why, because I violated the rule previously mentioned. This man was in no immediate threat to life or limb, yet felt it necessary to discharge his firearm which then resulted in the death of this young girl.

Yet another No-Knock Fiasco
A 7-year old girl has been killed by a police officer executing a no-knock warrant. What has been released to the press is the following:
But upon entering the house, the lead officer got into a struggle with a 46-year-old woman – the little girl's grandmother – and the gun discharged, firing a bullet into Aiyana Stanley Jones' neck.

All warm and fuzzy…
I read something today that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not in the good way either. Here are a few snippets from what I found.
|
(U) decentralized terrorist movement |
(U//FOUO) A movement of groups or individuals who pursue shared ideological goals through tactics of leaderless resistance independent of any larger terrorist organization |
What are they doing that makes them terrorists?

When to fight?
On Joe's blog today Joe posted another question from Mark Philip Alger to go along with the "Just One Question".
To summarize here:
When is it proper, for example, to use force to stop a legislator engaged in unconstitutional actions? Indeed, when is it required of those who have sworn oaths to... protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic...?

McMillan, Why I love them
This makes me happy that my baby's got a McMillan stock. This fills me with such rage an utter disgust I can barely stand it. I'm gonna go watch some movies for the rest of thanksgiving. At this point I may see Joe at the range tomorrow. I need some serious pistol time.

Suspension of the 4th Amendment
The ACLU has gone after firearms on more than one occasion and has thus ended up on my wolf in sheep's clothing list. However they came out with a new campaign involving the Constitution recently I will at least call attention to. I do find it interesting they'll defend the 4th and 1st Amendments but they feel the 2nd Amendment it is somehow different with regards to whose rights it guarantees.
