A fool and his money…

See the real problem people dislike about those who make more than them, is they’re fiscally responsible.  Barring those who are our elected representatives.  They couldn’t save a penny even if it was surgically attached to their body.  They’d sever the limb to spend it.  But this helps provide a better idea of the issues with fiscal responsibility in this country.

Visa’s survey finds that a jaw-dropping $2,635 per prom will be spent by
families making less than $30,000 a year. That compares with $842 for
families with a yearly income of $75,000 or higher.

Can someone explain to me why the people making less are spending more than the people making more? It doesn’t make any sense why someone needs to spend $2,600 on a prom night.  I think total I spent about 500 bucks, I didn’t rent my tux I bought it, and my buddy and I split a limo.  I can still fit in my tux by the way, I actually wore it for my wedding.

I know some parents have trouble telling their kids no, but honestly that’s what has brewed this group of spoiled children screaming about the 1%.

Know what pisses me off, me working my ass off, trying to save money, and then being told I need to pay more of my “fair share”.  Except lets look at who’s really profiting from this mess.

Money%20Earned

Sounds fair to be fiscally responsible and work your ass off doesn’t it?  You know, I know life isn’t fair.  Evidently we must be robbed by the state at gun point, try not paying your taxes if you don’t believe me, and have money go to a bunch of people who don’t want to work and think life’s unfair to them.  There’s random parts of life that are unfair and out of people’s control.  That’s the luck of the draw.  However taking someone else’s hard earned money isn’t you evening the score, it’s theft.

Now notice the breakdown of who’s going to be spending the most on prom and who’s getting the biggest kick backs from the Fed.  It all comes down to how much you value the money you earn.  If you don’t earn your money, you don’t really value it since it didn’t take blood, sweat, and tears to earn it.

God I need a beer cause this is horse crap.

Quick, Say Something Funny – VC 118

118 – Quick, Say Something Funny
is up.

As usual there was drinking involved and much was covered involving current events this time.  From the TSA, open carry and the 2AF, and we even go find out what the hell we’re talking about.  Enjoy, laugh, learn, and be disturbed.

A Security Theater – Veteran Edition

I was sitting across from a Marine tonight and the subject of the TSA came up.  He had this to say.

Nothing confused me or pissed me off more when flying home and we switched to a commercial charter flight off of a military transport.  They went through and made all of us throw away our lighters.  We still had our M16’s and bayonets, but those lighters were mighty dangerous, especially since we could use them to take over the plane.

The saddest thing was, he was dead serious.  Flying back they made everyone toss their lighters for “security reasons”.

Phishing Fail

Yeah I get lots of spam.  That is only one of 5 digests of the stuff that gets picked off before getting to my inbox.  Some of the stuff in there isn’t totally spam, but there’s no reason for me to actually pull it out.

That little bastard though in the red box is just all sorts of fail.  One I don’t live in NYC.  Two, I wouldn’t live in NYC.  Three if it’s a no reply, why the tacked on gibberish.  Four, the last time I was in NYC I was a minor and had a bus driving my ass around.  Five, how in the name of God did the city of New York get my email address?  If it was a ticket for a vehicle they’d have the registration address, not my email.

The airline tickets in there are also hilarious considering I don’t fly anymore because of the TSA.  The sad thing is they’re sending enough of this garbage out that for some people it get’s through, and the unlucky people who thinks it’s real and click on it.  Don’t click on stuff in random unsolicited emails!

Someone Needs to Be Fired

A 15-year-old Steilacoom girl is kicked off an amtrak train in the middle of the trip to Portland.

It wasn’t because she misbehaved, but because she was too young to travel without an adult. Her parents are furious at the way Amtrak handled the situation and decided to Get Jesse.

Someone was obviously on a power trip.  Whoever thought that was a good idea obviously is a prime candidate to go work for the TSA.  Now someone may say they were right, I however, thanks to personal experience can call total BS on it.

Summer after 5th grade, when I was only 11 years old I rode the train to stay with my aunt and uncle in Salem.  So I rode the train from Tacoma Washington, to Salem Oregon, the same exact train.  Without my parents or anyone else accompanying me.  I was NOT thrown of the train and the conductor saw my parents saying good bye to me as I got on the train.

I swear there are some people in this world who just have absolutely no ability to think whatsoever.  Even if somehow the rules changed, who thinks it’s a good idea to kick a kid off a train anywhere but her destination.

God I hate stupid people.

Update: A friend pointed me to this, informing me that the policy was changed October 2011.

The new policy establishes 13 as the minimum age of an
unaccompanied minor allowed to travel on its trains, the agency
said.

Emphasis mine.  So she was above the minimum age per policy.  I’m also sure said policy says nothing of dumping an unaccompanied minor in a strange place anywhere other than there destination even if this policy is some how violated.

SSCC #363 – Upper Moreland

I applaud those who went out to hassle the petty tyrants.  Honestly those who take part in those road blocks are some of the most despicable people in the world.  Seriously, anyone who would willfully violate their fellow citizens like that are no better than the TSA.

State Sponsored Criminal #363: Upper Moreland PD

Because the idea that you can catch a drunk driver by harassing the rest of the populace totally self-justifies.  Never mind that you will violate many more than you will actually catch.  Never mind the law exists to protect the innocent from abuse.

The Dumb Is Strong With This One

Yeah, here’s your laugh for the day.

Police, however, say the 18-year-old walked into the Wilmer Police
Department Saturday evening with a white towel covering his hands.

Police Chief Victor Kemp described the incident saying, “Yeah well, a
young man walked into the lobby and approached the dispatch window
there and told our Communications Officer ‘give me all your money.’”

Son, you just tried to rob a police station.  Where in your mind did you think that was a “good idea”.  You then turned around and said it was a joke.  In what world did that seem like a “good idea” as a joke, which I don’t believe you by the way.

Thankfully no one was hurt, though I do feel like Darwin was prevented from properly cleaning the gene pool.

On a more serious note folks your average criminal isn’t that bright.  Now this one I certainly would think ranks below average, but if they were smarter the would have a job and not be stealing stuff.  The risk reward matrix on a job is considerably better than being a criminal.  Frankly I prefer to continue to tilt the scales on making crime more risky.  Sadly though our government has decided to take these high school drop outs and make them TSA agents to legitimize their criminal behavior.

There’s just no winning for us is there?
