SSCC Cleveland

A dozen Cleveland police supervisors face internal discipline charges stemming from a chase that saw officers fire 137 shots and kill a fleeing driver and his passenger, the city’s police chief said Tuesday.

Both the victims in this case had a prior history and were on drugs at the time of the car chase.  The police claim the chase began with a report of gunfire.  Neither a weapon or shell casings were found in the car.  This could mean they ditched a revolver or that the police made it up.

The icing on the cake though is the following:

An internal police review showed that both officers and supervisors broke department policies. The chief said a review is continuing into whether any officers will be disciplined.

So in other words they did it cowboy style.

Because by all means endanger the lives of citizens and ignore department policy in so doing.

SSCC East St. Louis

A former assistant police chief in southwestern Illinois faces up five years in federal prison for lying to investigators about selling a gun to a registered sex offender.

On reading the article you think he may be innocent, then you notice that he plead guilty to the charge of making false statements to federal law-enforcement.

Also remember they want to make the current mine field even worse because of crap like what this officer did.  He makes the count though for the following statement:

Allen said he got the gun while working as a police officer and kept and sold it.

Remember now, this is the communist republic of Illinois where getting a gun is a pain in the ass well beyond what it should be and good luck carrying one.  Just to own a firearm you need an FOID, so if the purchaser didn’t have it he shouldn’t have sold it.

State Sponsored Criminal: Assistant Police Chief Corey Allen

Because by all means sell a firearm to a felon and sex-offender where the law-abiding victims cannot carry to defend themselves.

SSCC Seattle PD

A veteran Seattle police officer pleaded not guilty today to an assault charge stemming from a confrontation with a handcuffed man who had assaulted the officer’s wife, also a Seattle police officer, during an incident in September.

Now this isn’t that I do not understand, but officers are expected to adhere to and respect the law.  They are to lead by example.

Because when you’re a cop and someone attacks your wife, you get a free pass to go beat the hell out of the SOB who did it.

SSCC Boston PD

Do I really need to go into the details on this one?

State Sponsored Criminal: The Boston PD

Because the 4th amendment is suspended along with responsible firearms handling when you’re a cop.

SSCC #570: San Diego County

San Diego County and a sheriff’s detective might be liable for using excessive force and conspiring against a deputy’s ex-girlfriend with a “SWAT-like” raid of her home, the 9th Circuit ruled Tuesday.

The federal appeals panel in Pasadena, Calif., revived Michelle Cameron’s excessive force and conspiracy claims against San Diego County and Sheriff’s Detective Michelle Craig.

Why would the officer do such a thing?  To intimidate his ex to gain an advantage in the ongoing custody dispute.

State Sponsored Criminal #570: Michelle Craig

Because when you’re a cop in a custody dispute, use physical force and hide behind the law while doing so to intimidate your ex-spouse.

SSCC Murray County Update

The original count post on Murray County can be seen here.

A second former Murray County law enforcement officer has pleaded guilty to obstructing a civil rights investigation connected to a former Murray County judge.

At that time, the U.S. attorney’s office is expected to recommend dismissal of a second charge related to removing information from his cellphone. Greeson could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison, probation for up to three years and a fine of up to $250,000.

How kind to allow such plea bargaining when the rights of citizens are on the line.

State Sponsored Criminal #562: Joshua Lamar Greeson

Because by all means when he fesses up to the end result of his crime, sweep the rest of his crimes he did in the process under the rug.

SSCC Honorable Mention: NYPD

This is a classic case of “only ones”.

An off-duty police officer shot to death her 1-year-old son and her boyfriend, who is believed to be the child’s father, before taking her own life in a Brooklyn home early Monday, authorities said.

The officer’s 19-year-old son managed to escape out a back window and find police; he was not injured.

We’re constantly told how only officers need firearms and that they’re the only ones screened and trained enough to handle them safely.  This is just another example that no matter how hard you try, things can be missed.  The question is, do you live free or as slaves?

State Sponsored Criminal Honorable Mention: Jane Doe

Because only cops should have guns because no one in their ranks ever snaps.

SSCC #569: Minneapolis

A Minneapolis police SWAT team leader was convicted Saturday of assaulting a man while off-duty at a bar.

An Anoka County District Court jury decided that Sgt. David Clifford was not acting in self-defense when he punched Brian Vander Lee, 44, on June 16 at Tanners Station in Andover. Jurors found Clifford, 48, guilty of first-, third- and fifth-degree assault.

Hey at least he stood trial.  Though there has been no word about his job status after this incident.  He kept his job after the charges were filed, no word if the conviction changes that status.

State Sponsored Criminal #569: David Clifford

Because when you get drunk in a bar and kick someone’s ass, by all means you should keep your job even though you broke the law in doing so.
