SSCC #528–Harris County

Lonnie Blevins was an investigator for Harris County involved in the case of lawyer Anthony Chiofalo, who was charged last May with bilking his employer out of $9 million.

In the course of the case, authorities seized Chiofalo’s high-priced comics and other collectibles — including a first-edition Batman comic book worth about $900,000 and an original Green Lantern comic valued at $300,000.

But after a months-long federal investigation, Blevins was arrested in the disappearance of some of those assets which he allegedly sold.

How nice, worked in the prosecutors office and stole property seized in a case.    Best part is, as much as they were worth, he got ripped off big time as he made the sale.

Because when you work for the DA, steal someone else’s property that’s been stolen by the state and make a buck.

Worthy of note is the individual with a previous record. Evidently that wasn’t a clue.

Because by all means officers of the law should break the law when serving in the primary institution created to punish those who break the law.

SSCC #524 – Bozeman

A judge has found Bozeman police intentionally erased a portion of an audio recording made during a welfare check on a man who claims officers used excessive force against him.

This is unsurprising and it’s disturbing that there are some places that still don’t have dashboard cameras even with brand new police cars.  Why would anyone not want evidence that can be used to prove you did the right thing?  Unless of course you so regularly abuse your authority you’re afraid of being  caught.

State Sponsored Criminal #524: John Doe

Because when you abuse someone’s rights and try to hide it, it should just be your word against theirs right?

SSCC #523 – Salem

The arresting officer says when he pulled Poage’s car over for repeatedly swerving left of center; a breathalizer indicated that his blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.

I  remember distinctly in high school a cop describing the horrors of a DUI accident scene.  Me thinks this officer either didn’t get the memo or the cop from high school was lying.

Either way this officer definitely should have known better.  At least his department gave him unpaid leave.  Would be better if they canned his ass.

State Sponsored Criminal #523: Gary Poage

Because it’s only a problem to drive under the influence if you’re not a cop.

SSCC #522 – Box Elder County

A former Box Elder County sheriff’s deputy accused of sexually assaulting women during a series of traffic stops has reached a plea agreement that could land him in state prison for up to five years.

Scott Womack, 37, reached a deal in 1st District Court in which he will plead no contest to one count of custodial sexual misconduct, a third-degree felony, and two counts of attempted custodial misconduct, class A misdemeanors, according to court records.

They dropped 9 additional charges including unlawful detention.  The whole incident overall is very disturbing, especially since the incidents go all the way back to October 2010.

Remember though, many claim that the police should be given a monopoly on force because they are somehow anointed and worthy of magical trust.  I’ve got more to add on that but I’m still letting my anger subside.

Because when you pull over a hot chick, make her strip for you, you’re a cop right you just need to make up an excuse.

SSCC #521 – Hendersonville

37-year-old James Holbert, Junior was arrested for DWI on Monday morning in Hendersonville, While on duty in his Highway Patrol cruiser.

Holbert resigned after he took a breathalyzer test, about an hour after his supervisor noticed something way out of the ordinary.

I’m sure he could move to Indy and they’d accept him with open arms.  At least this guy didn’t run anyone over.

I’m glad he was busted for it, but you would think someone would notice before he hops in the car.  Since so many seem to like the idea of punishing the many for the actions of the few, maybe we should install the DWI ignition disconnects in all police cars.

Hey, politicians want to confiscate my property which has never hurt anyone for the actions of a madman, seems fair to me.

State Sponsored Criminal #521: James Holbert Jr.

Because DWI is only a danger and a problem if you’re not a cop.

SSCC #520 – Auburn

This one is right out of my home town growing up.

An Auburn police officer is under investigation for allegedly groping a pregnant and handcuffed woman.

Currently the officer is on vacation paid administrative leave and is being investigated by the Puyallup police department.  Most disturbing was this:

“He asked, like, three different times if he could come inside,” Thomspson said.

Excuse me officer, why would you ask that question once, much less three times.  Were you hoping she would give you coffee after assaulting her under color of law?

State Sponsored Criminal #520: Officer John Doe

Because when you see a hot chick leave a bar and you want to cop a feel, you can just make it happen.

SSCC #519 – Minneapolis

A Minneapolis police officer is in jail after his arrest for allegedly having off-duty sexual encounters with several girls between the ages of 12 and 14, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators from the Brooklyn Center Police Department were alerted that Bradley Schnickel, 32, used social media to contact a female and sent inappropriate messages to her. The investigation widened and multiple possible female victims were identified, authorities said. Cmdr. Paul Sommer of the Sheriff’s Office declined to provide a number.

Remember though, those in law enforcement should be given a monopoly on force.  They are anointed and could do no wrong against the rest of the public.

As usual he’s on paid administrative leave but given the number of officers who have done this while working as school resource officers, he’s on the count.

State Sponsored Criminal #519: Bradley Schnickel

Because a position of trust is so easy to use to manipulate people who are young and naive, especially when that position is instructed by many to be obeyed without question.
