SSCC #293–Waterloo

Schaffnit complied with the officer, saying he was going to get his boss, according to the lawsuit. He wasn’t aggressive or threatening towards Nissen and didn’t place himself in between Tusing and Nissen or another officer, actions which could justify use of a taser, according to the suit.

According to court records, Nissen shot Schaffnit in the back with his Taser X26 as Schaffnit “jogged” towards the bakery to get his boss. Schaffnit then fell face down slamming his head onto the cement which knocked him unconscious for a few minutes as blood pooled around his face and head. As he started to regain consciousness, he attempted to roll onto his side, which made it difficult to cuff his other hand, and Nissen tasered him again.

Schaffnit was then arrested on two charges of interference with officials acts, according to the lawsuit. Schaffnit was acquitted on the charges July 7, 2010. First Judicial District Magistrate Dawn Newcomb said the evidence at trial showed Schnaffnit complied with Nissen’s orders to leave and the other officer at the scene, Nathan Watson, testified Schaffnit didn’t interfere with the investigation and did comply by leaving.

So what does it take for a department to say, “That was excessive and you’re fired?”  The other officer saw the individual comply with the Nissen’s order to leave.  Instead of stopping that officer right there he arrested him and then aided the officer in his BS story only to testify against him later.  Think about that, the officer shot someone in the back without warning or cause for complying with what he told him to do.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 293: Officer Mark Nissen

Because when you tell someone to leave and they comply, you tase them in the back.  Then as they regain consciousness you tase them again.  Because you know that’s totally good in the force continuum.

SSCC #292–Portland

Officer Christopher Humphreys is seeking the sheriff’s position in Wheeler County, where he spent three years as a deputy before joining the Portland Police Bureau.

That innocent enough right?  He’s just moving up the corporate ladder in his field right?

In 2006, he and another Portland officer were accused of failing to get medical treatment for James Chasse, a mentally ill man they had taken into custody after he had been tackled by officers.

Chasse died and last year the city paid out a $1.6 million lawsuit in the case.

Humphreys was later involved in another incident that drew criticism. In 2009, he fired a beanbag round at a 12-year-old girl at a MAX stop after she hit another officer.

So in other words his reckless use of excessive force ensured that he could not excel up the ladder of his fair city.  So instead he wants to go to an empty county in central Oregon where he is being assured victory by no opposing challenger.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 292: Officer Christopher Humphreys

Because only in the public sector could you cost the people you work for 1.6 million dollars while also abusing them and get a promotion.

SSCC #291–Lorain

Lorain police Officer Bill Lachner pleaded no contest Friday to a disorderly conduct charge that stemmed from his Dec. 23 arrest on allegations he had physically assaulted his girlfriend and was fined $150.

Originally officer Lachner faced a domestic violence charge which would have placed him under the Lautenberg Amendment if he was found guilty.  This would have prevented him from being able to own or carry a firearm even if on duty.  In other words he would have to be fired from his job.  The victim appears to be pleased with the results however I doubt a prosecutor would be as lenient with someone who was not anointed.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 291: Bill Lachner

Because being a cop means you can escape a domestic violence charge when it would also mean you would loose your job.

SSCC #288-#290–Spokane

Federal obstruction charges are expected to be filed soon against two more Spokane Police officers in connection with the city’s handling of the Otto Zehm investigation, which U.S. Department of Justice officials have called an “extensive cover-up.”

What were they covering up I hear you ask?

Thompson was the first officer to arrive that night at the Zip Trip, 1712 N. Division St., after two young women erroneously reported that Zehm had taken their money from a nearby ATM machine. A jury convicted Thompson after the video showed him strike the unarmed and retreating Zehm almost immediately during a struggle that later included six other officers.

Zehm was struck as many as 13 times with a baton, shocked with a Taser multiple times and was eventually hogtied. After a plastic mask was placed on his face, he stopped breathing and never regained consciousness. He died two days later.

It gets worse.

The 2006 police confrontation that led to the death of Zehm, a Spokane man with schizophrenia…

While the primary officer was responsible, what he was found guilty of was not for the homicide he committed.  Instead he was found guilty of needlessly beating him and then lying to cover up his actions.  He is punishment for the cold blooded murder of an innocent man who committed no crime other than not being able to grasp what was happening?  Six to 8 years.  Most depressing in all of this:

Otto Zehm’s last words were, “All I wanted was a Snickers Bar

Had it been any civilian who had done something like that it would have been a murder charge.  The officer initiated force without any indication it was required.  Beat the hell out of the suspect who was innocent, hog tied him, and then placed a non rebreather mask on him without oxygen.  Where I’m from at minimum that’s manslaughter since the mask was the final blow.  He was negligent and it resulted in a mans death.  That fact though was ignored and that’s not what he went to jail for.

Two other officers then attempted to aid him in his cover up.  They are just as culpable in this mans death by their actions.

State Sponsored Criminal Count #288: Officer Karl F. Thompson Jr.

#289: Officer Sandra McIntyre

#290: Officer Tim Moses

Because when someone wants a snickers bar, you beat the hell out of them and then suffocate them.

SSCC #287–Seneca PD

After following up with Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland, it was confirmed that the two officers, whose names were not disclosed, had been commissioned by the Seneca Police Department, while each lacked state certification, and one of the two was a convicted felon.

Emphasis mine.  That’s right, a police department hired a convicted felon who also didn’t have state certifications.

They extended the right of qualified immunity to a convicted felon.  Think about that long and hard the next time someone tells you about how infallible the state is and why they should be given power “X”.  They’re more than willing to hand that power over to a criminal and leave you at the legal disadvantage.

To the departments credit, they have fired the two officers.  The incident is no less disturbing.

State Sponsored Criminal Count #287: John Doe

Because when you apply for a job in law enforcement we will trust you on your word.  I mean why would we do a background check, you want to be one of the “good” guys.

SSCC #286 – Seattle

This is unsurprising given the how the City and PD have been attempting to prevent the release of these dash cams.  What is doubly entertaining though is this:

So what did the officers claim they were doing? De-escalating the situation. That’s right. During an investigation by SPD’s Office of Professional Accountability, according to documents obtained by SW, the officers claimed that that Oregon and Perez were “obvious gang-bangers.” (See pdf of OPA’s summary findings.) Officer Corey Williams explained further:

Yeah, de-escalate doesn’t mean what they think it means.  Where I’m from they were escalating the situation to provide a better reason for the use of force.

I could tick it more than one but right now I feel like crap and this is my second time writing this pile of garbage.*

State Sponsored Criminal Count 286: Officer Brett Schoenberg

Because when you’re telling someone you’ll beat the crap out of them and skull fuck them, you’re really saying just calm down!

SSCC #285–TSA

Oh the TSA, how do I hate thee, let me count the ways.

Parent can’t comfort the kid while the agent molests him?  Oh and lifting up the kids shirt, really!?  We all know that this is all just a theater.  Don’t believe me?  Well we can load up Joe’s backpack with explosives completely covering it in residue and it comes back clear.  Remember, that’s what they’re searching for, residue that you’ve been handling explosives.  So what did molesting that poor kid do for anyone?  It allowed a child molester to get his rocks off.

Now there will be those of you who say that I’m over reacting and that there aren’t pedophiles in the ranks of the TSA.  To which I will remind our gentile reader of this and  this.  Now that you are reminded of that, may I also remind you they want to stop you on the road and when visiting your local malls.  This man had a choice and he chose to molest a child.

I am finding it much harder to control my rage and will to not wish death or harm upon people who work for the TSA.  Their behavior just keeps showing me more and more that they truthfully aren’t human and are the equivalent of the American Gestapo.  These animals would not hesitate if their superiors gave the order to load us into box cars to be sent to the camps.  I also am fairly sure they would turn the gas on in the shower rooms if given the order too.

As a reminder, it has happened here and it just as easily could happen again with more severe consequences the second time around.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 285: TSA Agent John Doe

Because the best job for a pedophile in the world is the one where he is given free reign to touch a child however he wants while making his parent stand behind the yellow line.

SSCC #284–Collinsville

Right here we have a bored cop who manufactured cause to speed up his boring weekend.

This officer has a previous history of violating the rights of citizens and was previously fired.  Yet the department gave him a job and a badge and qualified immunity.  They department sponsored this man and offered to protect him while he criminally acted against the rights of others.

He violated this mans rights for no other reason that to attempt to justify his budget on the war on nouns.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 284: Michael Reichert
