SSCC #401 – Wayne County

On August 15, 2012 Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Macedon, NY Police broke into 75 year old Phyllis Loquasto’s Plank Road home in the town of Walworth, NY, forced her at gunpoint to lay on her bathroom floor, screamed at her to close her eyes and stay down, then executed her dog “Duke.”

This officer evidently couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn either.

“The dog hadn’t even barked, yet I heard one of them say, he’s aggressive, shoot him! I’ll never forget the sound of that gunshot and the blood flying everywhere. They did all this while forcing me to lay on the bathroom floor, screaming at me to stay down, and holding me at gunpoint. I couldn’t get up if I wanted to. I’m 75 years old, had three strokes and knee replacement, and can hardly walk. There was nothing I could do to help my pet.”

Unfortunately, Duke died a slow death. 

“They shot him with a shotgun in such a manner that he ran around in pain and bled all over the house and suffered a slow, cruel death. There was no reason for this kind of treatment, they killed my dog for no reason. This was the sweetest and most gentle animal anyone could want, I would trust him with a baby.”

That’s right folks, those officers wounded an animal that wasn’t a threat and then let it suffer.  The put the grandmother then in a car for an hour.  All of this was because evidently her grandson had placed two plants of marijuana on the her property.

They physically assaulted her and shot her dog over a plant of marijuana.  This is unsurprising given the comments from the police chief involved.

Again, when I asked Chief Colella if in fact officers with his WayneNET task force held a 75 year old grandmother at gunpoint on her bathroom floor, Chief Colella replied “I don’t care if she is 2 years old or 75 years old.”

Evidently the concept of reasonable use of force is lost upon this police chief and he obviously isn’t out to serve his community but would rather abuse, intimidate, and terrorize them.  Since you know heaven forbid the possibly use a brain about what is actually necessary.  Any man who would make such a statement has no business in law enforcement.

Because it doesn’t matter if it’s a baby or a grandmother, if we can shoot it we damn well will, unreasonable force be damned.

What else can I say?  These two officers felt they could get away with this because they weren’t being recorded.  Even now though I doubt they will be fired, at most they will receive “sensitivity training”.

The officers, whose names were not given, were placed on desk duty while the department investigated the alleged beatdown.

A former local police officer, first accused of having sex in his squad car, is now accused of selling guns.

This is California mind you, and this isn’t the first time we’ve found an incident of officers selling guns.  But remember “Gun Control” magically works.

"It is alleged that Zieminski engaged in inappropriate sexual contact using force or coercion with a female prisoner who was in his custody at the time," Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Maria Miller said in a release issued Tuesday.

Couldn’t get any worse than that right?

This is the second time that sexual improprieties while employed as a police officer have led to Zieminski’s firing.

(Emphasis mine.)  Yeah, I think the state is culpable for round two.  It is worth noting the following as well about the prior incident.

Zieminski was fired by the Rockwood Police Department on July 6, though Rockwood Police Chief Stephen Rowe declined to state the reason, according to the News-Herald, and once before in 2006 when he was 28 and worked in Brownstown Township as a police liaison at Woodhaven High School, during which time a 17-year-old female student reported having inappropriate contact with Ziemenski.

Are we surprised a sexual predator would want to be in law enforcement where his position would give him “unquestioned authority”.

Because evidently the city of Rockwood feels that it is a smart idea to place a sexual predator around people while giving him a badge and a gun to coerce his victims.

Under the deal with prosecutors, Rick Jon Ferguson will be sentenced to probation on the exploitation count and will only risk prison time if he later violates the terms of that probation or if a judge decides that prison is appropriate for a felony obscenity count, according to the deal. Ferguson is scheduled to return to Boulder District Court on Oct. 30 for sentencing.

What did he do to get such a cushy punishment?

He pleaded guilty to felony sexual exploitation of a child, felony obscenity, and official misconduct, a petty offense. Seven other counts were dismissed.

Ferguson was accused of using his Boulder County Sheriff’s Office-issued computer to carry on sexually explicit online chats with girls as young as 11.

At least this monster was caught before he actually got his hands on a child.  Still think he’s getting off light.

Former police officer Matthew Mole — who served on the Waite Hill, Willoughby Hills, Beachwood and Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Departments — was sentenced to two years in prison Monday morning on a charge of sexual battery.

So what was so minor he only got 2 years?

Mole, who lives in Mentor, is accused of having an unlawful sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy from Richmond Heights.

Yup, good thing they gave him such a minimal sentence, the longer he stays in prison, the more likely the population will take care of him.

This incident is going from bad to worse.

“There is an ongoing investigation to (determine) the identity of other potential victims,” Squires wrote in a motion. “There is evidence indicating there is at least one additional potential victim.”

The additional details confirm my thoughts as well.

Last week, a federal grand jury indicted Smith on two charges of attempted production of sexual photos or videos of minors and one charge of coercing a minor to have sex with him.

There is evil in this world, and some times the evil tries to appear as the good.

“Smith abused his position of trust, which was to guard safety and security of children at school,” Squires wrote. He said Smith encouraged one of his female victims to “film sex acts with another adult.”

That position of trust was created and managed by the state.

An 18-year-old was shot and killed by a deputy. That teen’s family has now filed a federal suit claiming it was a wrongful death. Could the deputy’s past have foretold the future?

What did this young man do to deserve such a reaction from the officer?

“He was approaching the police to help them. He was telling them you’ve got the wrong person. You’ve got the wrong person. He had his hands in the air when the officer turned and shot him point blank, and he fell. When he hit the ground, he still had his hands above his head,” said attorney Donna Grodner.

This isn’t even an issue of he said she said.  The Sheriff supported the statement and continue on further to add the following:

“We have no reason at this time to believe that this 18-year-old did anything wrong and certainly, I want to make that clear. He was unarmed. I’m not saying he violated any laws what so ever,” said Sheriff Edwards.

So given the Sheriff is supporting the family, why would this be a SSCC?  It’s a prime example of why I do this and why I want officers fired immediately upon misconduct.

“Chief Nelson was the police chief at that time, and he recommended the city council terminate his employment because of numerous complaints against him,” said Chief Ambeau.

Complaints like verbal and written warning notices regarding his unauthorized absence, failure to follow the law and leaving well before his shift was over.

The minutes from that August 2001 council meeting showed the chief and council members frustrated with all the complaints against the officer. It only got worse when it came to then-St. Gabriel Mayor George Grace.

That’s right folks, this officer had a history and now someone finally ended up dead because of this officer.  Worst thing about this is I have no doubt that officer went home and slept like a baby.

The fact is officers don’t normally jump into the deep end off the bat. They slowly work their way up and administrators and public officials need to pay attention to the warning signs and have the balls to say, “Son you’re not going to work here.”

Because really what you see when an officer has been fired numerous times is a cheap employee, don’t worry about why he was fired, he won’t want to do it again.
