I aim to misbehave…

So my wife got me a t-shirt for my birthday today.  I would say it’s fitting:

Joss Whedon’s Serenity Browncoat/I Aim To Misbehave Men’s T-Shirt, Large

For those of you who may not understand, I give you this:

I spent last night in conversation with my mom regarding  the current state of affairs and the political fallout from the actions of a mad man that shall not be named.*  I find the shirt fitting because I’m not going to run, I am not going to cower, I am going to stand and fight against the coming onslaught.

I am going to fight against those who would disarm the law abiding, I will fight those who think that one more law would magically stop a mad man,  I will fight against those who think that the appearance of a weapon is some how related to its effectiveness, I am going to fight against those who use the tragedy and misfortune of innocent children and families to further their own political agenda.  Ultimately I am fighting against those who would disarm the victims to ensure they are incapable of mounting the most effective response and defense.

Ultimately in the words of Malcolm Renyolds, “I aim to misbehave.”  Because my stepping up to the plate is exactly what our opponents would say is misbehavior.  They would rather I just shut up and sit in the corner so they could then use my silence as an indication that I feel guilty for the actions of another.

No.  I aim to misbehave.  I aim to act and pursue this in ways they couldn’t imagine.  I aim to help the big dogs in this fight to take control of the conversation and pummel our opponents into the ground.  I aim to make this their last stand.  I aim to put them into the dust bin of history next to the KKK.

Me thinks I’m going to have to watch Serenity when I get home tonight.

*Seriously, if you put his name in the comments I will perma-ban you, I will not aid in giving these people fame for their atrocities.

SSCC Update–Columbus

This incident is going from bad to worse.

“There is an ongoing investigation to (determine) the identity of other potential victims,” Squires wrote in a motion. “There is evidence indicating there is at least one additional potential victim.”

The additional details confirm my thoughts as well.

Last week, a federal grand jury indicted Smith on two charges of attempted production of sexual photos or videos of minors and one charge of coercing a minor to have sex with him.

There is evil in this world, and some times the evil tries to appear as the good.

State Sponsored Criminal: Todd L. Smith

Because there is no doubt when others say the following:

“Smith abused his position of trust, which was to guard safety and security of children at school,” Squires wrote. He said Smith encouraged one of his female victims to “film sex acts with another adult.”

That position of trust was created and managed by the state.

SSCC #283–Henderson

This is a bad one…

A federal jury in Memphis convicted Robert Stacy Kilgore Wednesday on four separate charges involving pornographic material he made of a 10-year-old girl and shipped across state lines.

Another predator in a position of trust.  More and more cops will employ force against children who disobey further increasing their compliance due to fear.

At least in this case they put him on trial, but only 30 years for such an abuse of power.  It is disturbing how much people blindly trust representatives of the state just because they’re from the state.  Just because they have a badge doesn’t make them some sort of saint.  They can just as easily be a predator who convinced the state to give him qualified immunity.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 283: Robert Stacy Kilgore

Because everyone’s human and those we give tin badges should be trusted by everyone implicitly without question.

Why statements to create FUD aren’t an argument…

First for those who don’t know, FUD, is Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt.  It is significant because honestly it is the only thing our opponents in the gun control debate can argue with.  Facts and statistics are not on their side and we know it by the rants about “blood in the streets” that never actually seem to happen.

The thing is, guns are by no means the only place where Puritans use FUD to attempt to destroy freedom and liberty.  The best recent example was I-1183 which privatized liquor sales in the state of Washington.

This was a giant exaggeration. The initiative limited new licenses to stores of at least 10,000 square feet unless there are only smaller stores in a trade area. It left “trade area” to be defined by the Washington State Liquor Control Board, which has not yet done it. As a result, no store of less than 10,000 square feet has been given a new license, though some of the stores grandfathered from the old system are minimart-sized. There may be some new minimarts licensed to sell spirits, but not 1,000 of them.

The No on 1183 campaign argued the state was better at verifying that buyers are old enough to buy alcohol. Before liquor privatization, state stores had a tested compliance rate of 94 percent, while private stores selling beer and wine had a rate in the 70s. But the liquor board has just tested the new retailers, and the compliance rate in July was 92 percent.

He continues to point out that the statements made by the pro-side have held true.  Most importantly was this quote from a distiller within the state:

At the state’s oldest craft distiller, Dry Fly Distilling in Spokane, co-owner Kent Fleischmann says, “Our production is way up.”

Imagine that, you get the government out of something and sales go up, creating jobs, and wealth.  Isn’t it amazing what happens when people finally get over the FUD and the government is forced to get the hell out-of-the-way?

Here’s a tip, if someone’s main argument is the equivalent of “think of the children”, “I feel ‘x'”, or any variance like it and they are arguing that government involvement is the cure tell them to go screw off.  Move on and don’t bother arguing because they are currently suffering from PSH and are irrational.  Further their only argument is to attempt to pluck your emotional heart-strings, yeah I feel empathy, but what about the empathy for the innocent person whose rights you’re violating to make yourself feel better?

FUD is a huge red flag in any argument and it should be drug out into the middle of the square and exposed as such.  It’s good to see all the horror predictions fall down so that those who were against I-1183 can become the modern social pariah equivalent of:

SSCC #218 – Clarksburg WV

A man plowing snow for a church pastor claims a police chief violently and falsely arrested him, and that when he asked the chief to take it easy because he was disabled, the chief said, “Disabled my ass,” and kneed him in the back, dislocating four spinal probes.

No good deed goes unpunished, especially when a bored police chief has nothing better to do.  Have a disability not immeidately apparent,he doesn’t care and can risk spinal injury and beat the hell out of you.  Even if you’re not resisting arrest and have done nothing but try and help the public good.  Then you get stuck with the medical and legal bills while he keeps on treating the public like a group of children that he needs to beat on a regular basis.

Seriously go read the complaint, it’s down right despicable and the department should be bankrupted for the chiefs behavior and tolerating it.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 218: Chief Justin Burke Childers

Because the right thing to do when someone is helping clear snow in a blizzard is to beat the hell out of him while arresting him.  When they’re compliant and alert you of a medical condition you should call bull shit and work to aggravate that condition.

SSCC #244–Harrodsburg

Jason Elder, 31, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree rape, 49 counts of third-degree sodomy and 97 counts of first-degree sexual abuse. All of the charges involved one girl, who was 14 at the time.

This is another cop who was hiding in plain sight amongst his prey.  This seems like a pretty light sentence given the severity of the crime and the number of counts.  I wonder if the judge was worried about the ex-officers safety.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 244:  Jason Elder

Because when a predator is placed amongst children what do we expect to happen?  Doubly so when he mascaraed as a good guy.

SSCC #257–Clute Texas

An 18-year-old at Brazoswood High School in the Brazosport Independent School District says she was a senior when the Clute Police Department officer, who was assigned to protect the school, called her into his office as she walked in the hallway.

The woman writes in her lawsuit that she felt “fearful and intimidated” by the officer, who was wearing his uniform with a gun and a Taser during the encounter.

Know what’s sad.  I’m no longer surprised by these types of incidents.  They are all way too common.  If you want more details go read it, I’m sick of the excuses people give for putting predators around children.  Especially when the predators in question are backed by the state.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 257: Joe Matthew Mosqueda

Because the perfect crime is the one where you already have the power and control of the situation before anything even starts.

SSCC #263–El Paso

This right here is just classic!

El Paso, Texas County Commissioner Willie Gandara Jr. was arrested late Wednesday on federal drug-trafficking charges. Few details have been released, but according to a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) spokeswoman, the investigation involves multiple agencies.

Ok a county commissioner was selling drugs, why is it classic though!?  This is why!

Back in September 2011, Gandara harshly criticized drug legalization in an official statement:

Legalizing drugs is the coward practice of combating cartels, it is an insult to our men and women in law enforcement, and the laziest form of parenting our children and youth about the effects of drugs.

Nice, he was pushing prohibition to protect his enterprise.

State Sponsored Criminal Count 263: Willie Gandara Jr.

Because the real reason you become an elected politician is so you can build an enterprise and make it illegal for everyone else!
